Alexei is a possibility

I don't mean to make this sound like a poll but I really think Alexei Yagudin and Michelle will make a really cute couple. I've just watched the gala from Worlds where they paired together. I guess it is kind of weird or intersting to get him involoved because two of them seem to live in two different worlds but who cares. I might be a little biased cuz they two are my favorites by far. Well Isabelle I don't deny that Yags looks kind
of cute, but when it comes to a match for
our little Michelle Kwan, I know I am protective
like a parent, and she is not my child.
I don't think Yags has the character/sportsmanship
to match MK. Now, I am not saying he is not a good/
nice person.

They skated together in the gala, b/c of the nature
of that program. I haven't seen it on tv yet.
From what I read, it was a fun, sexy #. The top 6 guys
skated to center ring and were trying to do cool spins and
jumps, then the ladies skated onto the ice and acted,
"seductively", then they paired up and skated.
Yags and Mk paired up naturally : reigning champs.
Elvis and gus paired up and were bopping nicely, Plush and IS
paired up : that is reasonable.
MB,, and SH danced with the same guy, must be fun for that
guy b/c the youngest baby ballerina and the oldest playboy
centerfold danced with him. That left Weiss and Li w/o
partners, that must have added extra comical flair to that #.

That Yags does have a history. He was banned from COI last season for drinking and apparently had a relationship with Nicole Bobek. He was interviewed about that and even asked if he was abusive or something to that effect. So, yeah, very protective of Michelle here, I wouldn't want anything untoward to happen to her. He may have changed his ways, but...

From some of the interviews I read he seems like the type to kiss and tell. Plus, if the rumors about him and Bobek are true, Michelle might need a suit of armor and a can of mace to protect herself. Plus, Michelle is a minority and with his alleged remarks last summer....

This is not really about the possibility of Alexei, by the way.

I am not really into this fiction theme; however, when it comes to reality and Michelle's love life, I truly wish her the best of luck and I sincerely hope and pray that no one will ever hurt her.

Nicole Bobek and Yagudin isn't a rumor. Yagudin said as much in an interview recently that he went to Nicole's room to have "the man and woman thing". Nicole accused him rough her up the next day. He said he left right after and it could be some other guy who went in her room after him. He basically admitted he had sex with Nicole and implied Nicole was so out of it (from drugs or drinks?) that she couldn't remember who roughed her up. He's blackening Nicole's name in order to explain why he's kicked out of the COI last year. I don't care whether he roughed up Nicole or not. A guy would kiss and tell and has no hestation in throwing the girl he slept with to the wolf to save his own skin is NOT a guy I want for Michelle. He struck me as very immature and very selfish. Michelle deserves much better.

My reasons for saying no have already been brought up...but I also think that Nicole and Michelle have completely different personalities and are completely different people...so if Alexsei is the kind of guy that went for Nicole, I highly doubt he's the kind of guy that would go for Michelle...

Michelle is probably closer to Alexei as a friend than good old #9. What's up with that?!?

Well, that probably is closer to right, don't know why I did not say it that way instead...but I think both sentences work...you're probably right Mano, and that is sad...re PS, I actually do enjoy Alexsei's skating and the only eligible male skater that I enjoy more than Alexsei is Todd, but Alexsei is one of those skaters that I like their skating despite my personal opinion of them as a person...

I hope you all don't mean Alexei is NEVER going to match with Michelle. I hope you all are only judging him on what he has done in the past not in the future. I know every piece of the news about what Alexei has done and I thought those were terrible to. But I also think as a 3-time-world champ in his soul he certainly has something that is respectful and admirable to the fans and that's what made them his fans. He, however, to me, has some characters in common with Michelle. And what, to me, made this idea so intersting was the fact they came from two entirely different worlds. As posting in this Fan Fiction forum, I assumed this idea would be as intersting and as romantic as a story. Michelle the angel fell in love with Alexei the jerk and completely changed him. Wouldn't that be original. And why not let alone Michelle and let her choose her own future instead of guessing what's right and what's wrong for her like a parent--I believe she is got a really good brain. I won't start to defend Alexei and make this thread too realistic and practical only if you wish me to <!--EZCODE EMOTICON START --><img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/smile.gif ALT=""><!--EZCODE EMOTICON STOP-->

who knows what the future brings...he may change, he may not...those are my opinions about why not...I don't think any of us doubt she has a good brain, and we do realize she has a choice...its not like any of us are forcing her to say no to Alexsei...I've never met her and am not forcing her to do anything...so we are letting her choose her future...we express concerns and want what's best for her b/c we want her to be happy...
