I get to root for Yuna Kim in the next Olympics. Yay! It's going to be really fun watching all the young skaters talk about Michelle and how she inspired them. Now that she's not their competitor, they can really learn from her. I'm looking forward to seeing Michelle on the ice again, so much!

You are right about Korea time being ahead of U.S., AMAubert.
The show starts at 8:50 PM, August 14th (Friday) in Korea, so, at that time and on that day, U.S. will be at 7:50/4:50 AM EDT/PDT on August 14th (Friday), 2009.

You can watch the show LIVE on this site:
http://www.cdmatv.com/e/
On the left side of the web page, scroll up, down, through, or whatever you need to call it on Korean channels list that is placed right above the windows media player and choose #006 TJB, #15 CJB, #019 KBC, or #031 TBC. They are all the same SBS channel, just in different regions of the country.

Thank you so much for sharing the times! I am horrible at converting time zones outside the US, and I really appreciate it. I am so excited that I will actually be home that morning!!! It seems I usually miss these things. Also, I don't mind capturing Michelle's program on my computer and posting it to MKF as soon as possible. So many others in the MKF have done kind things for me over the years, and I'd love to return the favor. I'll post it to Youtube and CloudNine as soon as it's finished.

For that region it's really easy to figure out the time! My sister spent a week in Japan and a week in South Korea earlier this year (she's a dancer with a tour called DrumlineLIVE; I was so jealous! Those are the two places where skating is HUGE!!). It was really difficult for us to get her on the phone because it's a +13 hour time difference. So what I did to tell the time where she was was to just flip the AM to PM (vice versa), and add an hour.

I doubt if I'll be able to watch it. I'll be at work and we're not supposed to look at videos (tho I still do sometimes). Still, I'm just hoping people post some high quality video of both Michelle and Yu-Na's performances.

I hope Yu-Na has some better exhibitions. It's like the choreographers put all of their effort into her SP and LP (which were both fabulous), but the exhibition piece kinda fell by the side this past season. She was skating to the same person who sung "This Time Around", that absolutely STUNNING exhibition that Michelle skated to back in 2001-02 season. Yu-Na just didn't match the music though. Hopefully, she'll have something better.

I talked about it, so I think it's worth a re-visit. This is one of those exhibitions that gives you chills :
"This Time Around": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=11nB0S4mROM (quality's not that great but still AWESOME!)

Question

This is kind of a meaningless question, but I always wondered about the ‘This Time Around’ costume Michelle wore. Is the FOG costume a recycled version of TTA one? My wishful thinking is that Michelle would log in from time to time and answer questions like this herself. But I understand why she’d be hesitant to join in on our discussions ‘cause this forum is almost all about her. Just expressing my random affection for the skater who moved me like no other. Gosh, I miss her competitive “FIRE” already.

It wasn't a recycled costume. Same fabric, different design. You get that a lot with designers. Both of them were so simple but amazingly beautiful and elegant. I just love Vera...

It would be awesome if Michelle held a little Q&A on the site. But I don't know if the forum would be big enough to support it, meaning we've crashed this site on more than one occasion. If everyone found Michelle was going to be online, without a doubt, we'd crash the server! Still, it'd be cool if we could submit questions and then have her answer them and then post her responses…I wish we had a direct connection to her to make that happen…

I see a hot red dress, or maybe a black one. Our girl on ice again...emoting, skating....beautiful.

Thanks for the link, jenaj.

She/he's probably one of the members of the 50~60-member 'Millenium Orchestra' or the show organizers. Though, I'm not that crazy about C.B. for Michelle, I'd watch her skate to anything even if skates to a screechingly loud heavy metal-kind of music.

Yes, less than 9 days to go!

All the performers, NBC, and Asahi TV crews will arrive in Korea on the 11th of August.
Michelle and Yu-Na will have a duet performance together at least three times throughout the show and ‘Moonlight Sonata’ could be used either in the show’s opening or in the closing.

Or, they could be just going to tape some footage of YuNa (and maybe other possible Olympians) for their Olympic coverage. To show during fluff pieces and such. Sorry, don't want to get my hopes up! I'll be thrilled if I am wrong and they end up broadcasting it, though.

I wish this was being telecast on US TV. I would have thought that some network would jump at the chance to show MK back on the ice.

The good thing about MKF, is that someone will find her performances on the net or figure out a way and post it for all of us to enjoy in the downloads section.

I know exactly what you mean, Grace, but you already know why. Yu-Na is the most popular sports star in a *small country* called South Korea and Michelle Kwan is overshadowed by so many other super athletes like Tiger Woods and Michael Phelps. Sometimes, it's good to be small.
