    Default personal Michelle sighting at Worlds

    I had my first personal encounter with Michelle today!!! I am still flying Anyway I've been seeing her around the rink at worlds all day so I thought I'd give an update...

    While sitting in the stands my coach spotted Michelle across the rink in the box near the kiss and cry with Scott Hamilton. We were so far away i could hardy see her but it was still exciting. Later we went over to the Convention Center to watch practice ice, where there was a make-shift rink and a couple sets of fold out bleacher. To my surprise, i walk in to see Michelle sitting in the bleachers with Caroline Zhang watching the ladies practice. I literally sat 2 rows behind her and thought i was gonna die. She was classy as always and didn't want to sign autographs during practice so she wouldnt take attention away from the skaters. At one point a huge crowd moved away from Michelle where I discovered that Kristi Yamaguchi was also present. Michelle went over to talk to her and then the two of them sat together in the bleachers for the remainder of the practice. Afterwards she signed autographs and my friends and i got a picture with her It was truly an amazing experience.
    Oh, and of course she looked gorgeous and friendly as ever, and is even more beautiful in person. Hope some of you also got a chance to see her

    YAY! She is such a wonderful lady That's cool Michelle was sitting with Kristi -- two classy ladies sitting next to each other! I'm glad you go to meet her -- I would love to see that picture you took with her, but understand if you are not comfortable sharing.

    Ooh, Michelle was sitting with Caroline! Any idea what their interaction was like? Were you by any chance close enough to eavesdrop on what they were saying?

    I'd sell my left foot for a good pic of Michelle, Kristi, Caroline and Yu-Na together. Throw in Mao and I'll sell off my right foot, too.

    That's so cool! It's great that Caroline is taking in the worlds experience and how awesome is it that she gets to hang around with Michelle while she's doing it?

    Hey Simoner, is there any way you can post the pic you took with her? And ITA Quixadar! A picture of Michelle, Kristi, Yu-Na, Caroline and Mao would be worth more $$$ than I could imagine. You'd have the past skating idols (Krisit and Michelle), the current skating idols (Yu-Na and Mao) and the future of skating (Caroline). That would be one awesome picture!!

    Simoner119, thanks for the update on my wife. She always is drop dead GORGEOUS! I am glad Caroline was there too. It's great for her to watch and see what she may have to compete with, on her way to Vancouver. Michelle seems like she is taking full advantage of the 2009 Worlds. I hope to hear more in the days to come. Tommrow is the Short Program? Or is it today?

    I just found a youtube vid of Yuna Practicing and Kristy and Michelle watching. At around 1:12 you see Michelle and Kristy talking and watching Yuna during her practice.

    Just thought I'd share -- I was at the comeptition yesterday for the Men's Short and Michelle was in the broadcast area watching. She stayed in the background mostly but it was great to see her! My whole area was buzzing about her. Here's a pic that I snagged of her -- not the best because a cable is in the way but still fun!

    Yes, Shep is in both of the videos (he's sitting in the row in front of MK with Kristi)

    I can't lipread (as much as I would LOVE to have this skill)

    I don't think Kristi's hair color looks bad at all .. I think it looks really nice on her.

    I agree--Kristi is beautiful as always but her hair color and style (too much poof) look a little cheesy to me. Michelle's hair is natural and beautiful.

    yep I agree, I like the color ok on Kristi. I like to play around with my hair style and color sometimes, so I know how she feels with wanting something different.

    Yes I did. Caroline is sitting in the row right above Michelle & Kristi next to a woman in Red and she is partially covered by this woman in red.
    (I had to watch it about 6 times before I spotted her) I could only see Caroline's face. Thanks for the link Michelle and Kristi look great.

    Today I sat behind Michelle at another ladie's practice session, again she was sitting with Caroline Zhang and Karen Zhou. It was hard to even watch the practice session with the Kween right in front of me. Afterwards I went up to her and she laughed when she saw the pin I was wearing, which said "KWAN 2010" on it. She then took a picture with me, and she was pointing to my pin (I take that as confirmation of her comeback, haha)

    I'll definitely post these pictures but I may not be able to for a few days. Lots more of the competition to see...

    I guess there is a little ceremony outside the Staples where they give out little medals to the skaters and allow the Q&A. During the Men's LP post ceremony, Angela assisted with the ceremony and Peter Carruthers jokingly mentioned MK when he mentioned Frank Carroll coached 3 World Champions LF, EL and... and... and.... who was the third??? Oh... of course MK.
