What did she do? I couldn't watch. I'm too far...

OMG, I can't believe they showed Michelle! She looked so gorgeous and she was skating!

After Bob Costas made that comment about the Michelle Kwan era being over, I almost turned the channel. Glad I didn't.

And note to Bob ... it isn't over until MK says it's over.

I loved that piece!!! I also loved it when Caroline was skating beside Michelle and doing crossovers. Caroline slipped and went flying into the boards and you could hear her laughing and other laughing. It was way too cute.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but I actually *love* seeing Michelle in the role of mentor to the younger skaters. I just *love* it! It just feels so right! Yes, I miss her on the ice, but this feels like the way it's supposed to be.

Still, it ain't over 'til it's over...but if it's over, it's a beautiful beginning to an all-new Michelle on TV--Michelle the Mentor, Michelle the Expert, Michelle the Icon. I can live with that!

While it was flattering to call the past decade or so the "Michelle Kwan era" I just felt like throwing something at him! Michelle hasn't said she's done, so there is hope! Caroline is a lucky little lady to have Michelle as her mentor. If I were here I'd think I would've died and gone to skating heaven!

    Michelle, my belle.

It's a good thing my fam was all out running errands when Caroline's fluff piece came on. I freaked out! First I was screaming "Michelle!" then I was in awe of how gorgeous she looked and the hair with the little extra length and highlights :smile Then I just started tearing up and saying "I miss Michelle" to the TV screen. Okay, I'll calm down now.

It was so amazing to see Michelle on the ice with Caroline and mentoring her, the "old" gal's still got it. She was so right about telling Caroline to skate from the heart. I chuckled a little but too when Caroline was trying to keep up with Michelle and slipped. Watching Michelle made me think, "now that's how it's done".

It was so great seeing Michelle skate if only for a few seconds, I was almost crying seeing her for those seconds of footwork. It was like getting a sip of water after months in the desert. Oh Michelle we miss you so much.

As soon as it was over I was dying to see it again. She looked fabulous -- and happy, which is the most important thing. But to see her on the ice made my day. I think we all, as skating fans, needed that -- to be reminded what a real champion looks like, even just on practice ice, mentoring someone else. So I'll say, a Nationals without Michelle just isn't Nationals...but in some small way that made it feel a little more like the real thing (kind of...). And now, I need to see that little bit of footwork again! I'm checking youtube every ten minutes

I miss our Kween. I'm sure the Kween misses her subjects too, very loyal subjects...

What a GREAT surprise. Even just watching her do crossovers was a joy.

Hopefully we'll get the clip online soon *crosses fingers* I have it on the wrong DVR, the one that can't transfer onto the computer, otherwise I would have been working on uploading the clip myself.

You are soooo right! Brought tears to my eyes. She's gorgeous & her crossovers are gorgeous. I loved when she was saying "you have to keep it clean" and rubbing her fingers. She KNOWS! As for the Michelle Kwan Era...I don't think it will EVER be over!

    What a treat!
