Default Michelle on new Blades On Ice (October, 2007) cover!

    Hi,

Just wanted to let you know that Michelle is on the next Blades on Ice cover! It is finally up! I am going to try to give a link.

    https://bladesonice.com/

It is great to see her on a cover again! Hopefully, it has a good article on her!

Beautiful!!! I LOVE seeing her on a new cover...and I'm loving the caption to the side - "The Kwan Years"

As much as I love talking about "The Kwan Years", they are not over yet; so I hope that there is some new information in addition to the focus on Michelle's glorious history!

You're absolutely right; however the side caption of the website reads:
    "Historical Retrospective
    The Final Installment
100 Years of Ladies Skating, Part IV
    1995-2006
    (The Kwan Years)"

Since they're doing a historical look of Ladies Figure Skating, they have titled the last of the history "The Kwan Years." How amazing that they've put the decade+ of the history as a tribute to Michelle. Incredible. I'll have to find this issue at B&N...

It's actually not surprising that they chose that title because she rose quickly and had immense staying power during that period (at least up to 2003).

They never did answer my email question asking if they might make the entire 100 years of ladies FS series available as a seperate publication.

She looks as beautiful as ever. *sighs* How I miss Michelle and her amazing gift.

I'd love to be able to get a copy of this magazine, but being located outside U.S. doesn't make that likely. If anyone is willing to help me obtain a copy to ship overseas and can accept reimbursement via Paypal, would you PM please?

As much as I LOVE seeing MK on the cover (other pics throughout) and her name mentioned numerous times...the article is poorly written and sprinkled with "mis-facts"..

For example, the article has Tara winning 97 Skate America..with MK getting the silver and falling on her lutz..Huh?

In addition, they have Tara "besting" MK in the 98 GPF (held in late 97)..Kind of difficult in that MK didn't even participate in that event..(stress fracture)..

wow, I'd think that they'd get the facts right given that they are a dedicated figure skating magazine...?

It's not uncommon to see errors of fact and grammar in BOI, unfortunately. Nonethless, I do like the mag as it is a great source of info & pics.
