What a great pic! Can't wait to get my issue.

Thanks for letting us know! Guess I'll have to wait for this to be available in stores before I can get this!
Beautiful!!!I LOVE seeing her on a new cover...and I'm loving the caption to the side - "The Kwan Years"

"A gold medal can go in a case to be looked at from time to time, but a heart of gold is a rarity that enriches the world." ~ Susan Wessling, 2009
As much as I love talking about "The Kwan Years", they are not over yet; so I hope that there is some new information in addition to the focus on Michelle's glorious history!
You're absolutely right; however the side caption of the website reads:
"Historical Retrospective
The Final Installment
100 Years of Ladies Skating, Part IV
1995-2006
(The Kwan Years)"
Since they're doing a historical look of Ladies Figure Skating, they have titled the last of the history "The Kwan Years." How amazing that they've put the decade+ of the history as a tribute to Michelle. Incredible. I'll have to find this issue at B&N...
It's actually not surprising that they chose that title because she rose quickly and had immense staying power during that period (at least up to 2003).
They never did answer my email question asking if they might make the entire 100 years of ladies FS series available as a seperate publication.
Oh, thanks for posting! This will be the first skating mag I'll be buying in *ages*!![]()
Me too, Heather! She looks great, and I can't wait to check it out!
"I used to want to skate like Michelle Kwan. Now I want to live like her."
She looks as beautiful as ever. *sighs* How I miss Michelle and her amazing gift.

How many magazine covers now? Must be a record. Definitely going to get
that issue for sure!!! Thanks for sharing! MK is stunning!
Has anyone received their issue yet? I keep checking my mailbox for it. This is making me crazy!

Okay I've got a Borders not far from me & I called them about the mag. Surprise surprise they DO carry it. BUT they don't currently have that one in stock. I put their number in my phone calandar with a weekly reminder to call them till I know they have it.
All hail the KWEEN of Figure Skating!

I'd love to be able to get a copy of this magazine, but being located outside U.S. doesn't make that likely. If anyone is willing to help me obtain a copy to ship overseas and can accept reimbursement via Paypal, would you PM please?
Mine came on the 13th.
It's a good issue.
I'm not a subscriber. Any one know where can I pick up a copy?
You can check by going here any locations by going here:

As much as I LOVE seeing MK on the cover (other pics throughout) and her name mentioned numerous times...the article is poorly written and sprinkled with "mis-facts"..
For example, the article has Tara winning 97 Skate America..with MK getting the silver and falling on her lutz..Huh?
In addition, they have Tara "besting" MK in the 98 GPF (held in late 97)..Kind of difficult in that MK didn't even participate in that event..(stress fracture)..![]()

There really is no excuse for thoae errors; which are often acceptef as fact, after they appear in print!
wow, I'd think that they'd get the facts right given that they are a dedicated figure skating magazine...?
