Trivia Contest Rules!!!
Merry Christmas everyone! I decided to start this on a holiday =) So just read the rules and participate and have fun!!!
TRIVIA CONTEST RULES. PLEASE READ CAREFULLY.
1. Every Monday there will be a new trivia question posted in this section.
2. Each question will be posted as a new thread.
3. No answers will be accepted after Sunday at 11:59p.m. If posters correctly answer the question before the thread is closed and it is already Monday, their answer will not be accepted and will get 0points for that round. No exceptions will be made.
5. If a poster has missed a previous trivia question, they can join in at any subsequent trivia question.
6. Each trivia question will have a different level of question next to it. For example:
LEVEL OF DIFFICULTY: EASY
What is Michelle's last name?
(Okay, so that was ridiculously easy)
There will be three levels of difficulty: easy, medium and difficult. Each level will have different point levels of 1, 2, 3.
7. Answers that contain names of people, places, locations must be spelled correctly in order for the answer to be accepted.
HOW TO PARTICIPATE:
1. darkphoenix is in charge of running the contest. She will help tabulate the points and keep a running spreadsheet for all of the members.
2. Members may submit their own trivia questions (NOT answers) to darkphoenix. As long as the question is related to Michelle in somehow, it will be considered. (Example: Who came in second and first the year at the US Figure Skating Championships where Michelle won her 4th National title?)
3. If your question is used in the trivia contest, you may not participate in that particular round. If your question is chosen, you get automatic points for that round. We suggest submitting difficult trivia questions. A lot of answers can be easily found using the internet. Questions that require a bit of digging might be more fun, seeing as our group is quite knowledgeable about Michelle already.
4. darkphoenix is in a special group, "MK Event Managers". The group ID number for this is the number 14. To submit your answer to the thread simply reply to the thread using the SHOWTOGROUPS tag which can be found on the toolbar when you reply. It's this image:

The purpose of this is to hide the answer to everyone else except for darkphoenix, the admins, and the moderator. Only answers in the thread will be accepted. Answers through PM, e-mail, will all be ignored.HTML Code:[SHOWTOGROUPS=14]The answer is Kwan[/SHOWTOGROUPS]
5. Use this thread to discuss any questions you may have about the contest. Any post that is not an answer to the question will be ignored.
6. Members may use the internet or other means to find the answer. However, if members want to discuss what the answers might be, please do so privately.
Note: Moderators and Admins can participate in the trivia questions, but their scores will be thrown out at the end of the contest.
We will have a pre-trivia test week before the official start of the contest so members can get familiar with the format and with using the showtogroups tag as well as for us to make sure things are working okay.
Starting Date: January 2, 2007
Ending Date; Last trivia question: December 31, 2007.
PRIZES
Grand Prize: Winner will be able to choose a music cd of their choice that contains music that Michelle has skated to as long as the album is available on Amazon.com. Winner will also win a Champions on Ice program from 2001 that has Michelle's autograph as well as a few other skaters. (This has been donated by a very generous MKFer!)
Second Prize: MKF Lanyard or keychain (winner's choice), MKF pin and We Believe Bracelet
Third prize: MKF pin
RULES OF WINNING:
Winners must be willing to give Grace or Heather their mailing address in order for the prize to be sent and must play fair and square.
