There are already several news articles carrying YuNa Kim interview on her upcoming August ice show with Michelle Kwan and her Olympic season programs:

I am posting YuNa’s comments about Michelle Kwan and they are lovely:
“The first time I saw Michelle Kwan was in the ‘98 Nagano Olympics. Ever since then, each of her performance made a great impression on me and she became my favorite athlete. I was ecstatic to have a short encounter with her last March. I am honored to be performing in the same show with the athlete I have always admired since I was very young. As a fan of Michelle, it’s going to be very special to see her return on ice after three years of wait. Just the fact that I’ll be standing on the same ice with her itself is a great honor.” How sweet she is.
Now I have no idea whether he knows something we don’t or not, but the writer of this particular article titled ‘Michelle Kwan, “I only said yes to Kim, YuNa (or I only accepted her invitation)”’
http://kr.news.yahoo.com/service/new...&newssetid=746 reports that Michelle is training hard as usual in preparation for her comeback to competitive skating (???). Could this be true? Does he know something we don’t? He goes on to say that her devotion to many hours of practice and training can only be interpreted as her still having strong desires to try out for another Olympics run. He also talks about how her decision to accept YuNa’s invitation that requires her to travel long distance from home is not a very comprehensible action an exceptional skater like her takes especially prior to an Olympics season. Does he have a point in that? I don’t know…, but this is where YuNa comes in, he says. He basically repeats what Shep Goldberg said in the American articles we read. In his conclusion, Michelle made this special sacrifice (long distance travel/losing training time) because they have a mutual admiration society thing going.
I know that everyone is dying to know what music Michelle will be skating to, but that woman is so masterful at keeping secrets, not one reporter has any information on it yet. But take comfort in knowing that the masterpiece of a skater will be performing again in just 15 more days. Yippee!!!
For anyone who’s interested to know, YuNa herself will be performing her favorite program, ‘Danse Macabre’ and 2009-10 exhibition program, ‘Don’t Stop the Music.’ I love the show already.
Also, even though this is not MK-related, there is a fun mention in one or two of many articles about how Stephane Lambiel and Adam Rippon fell in love with Korean pop music while they were staying in Korea for the FOI show. I hope Michelle too falls in love with many things Korean while she’s there. I want her and YuNa to have the greatest time together.
