Jan 18 - News came on at 10pm after Skating with Celebrities. There was a short feature on figure skating, showing kids doing spins, jumps, etc. at a rink in Pasadena, CA. Reporter says that that place was exactly where new US nats champ Sasha Cohen used to train. I expected some more mention of Sasha during the succeeding portion since there was already some build-up, so it was funny when a clip of an interview with a nine- or ten-year old girl followed, with her responding to the question "Why do you want to skate?" Her reply: "I'd like to be in the Olympics...like Michelle Kwan!" :wink

Yeah... that's gotta be annoying. I saw Sasha on Leno last night and was kind of waiting for the, what do you think of Michelle's situation? question but it never came and I was sort of amused.

Regardless of that, congrats to Sasha on her win at Nationals--she's all over the different promos I've seen on TV and I guess why not... she is the reigning champion now!

ditto, unchristine.....i was expecting that killer stare from Sasha if Leno mentioned Michelle...but never happened. i wonder if Sasha's people told Jay not to mention her at all...especially since she got so peppered last week with Michelle questions in St.Lou.
