Does USFS have the protocol detailed scores posted somewhere? I can't find them on the results page. Thanks.

Does anyone have it? I'm interested in seeing how the elements were rated.

Does anyone know if a detailed protocol was released to the public after the ladies LP? I can't seem to find anything on usfigureskating.org, but it could be that I'm just so jetlagged that I'm missing something. Thanks in advance!

<ETA, thanks, mods, for moving and merging for me. Duh, schez!>

Usually this info is posted the day after the event is over. I, too, wonder what is taking so long. I certainly hope they intend to make it public. I have a lot of questions as well! ;)

Thanks for posting that. Wow, those judges sure weren't afraid to hand out +GOE. Some judge giving Sasha +3 for her ftwk in the sp, another +2 for a flutz/2t. :lol I hope they're not doing international competitions.

Just looked at the men's protocols. Both Weiss and Weir were credited with Level 4 ftwk. I don't remember they're ftwk that well but it didn't seem L4 to me. Also lots of +2 and 3 for them. Very generous grading overall to the top skaters.

I am not sure if this has been posted, but the protocols are up on the USFSA board. I am not sure how to post links, so if anyone can I would appreciate it. Thanks:) Mods, if this should not be on this forum please remove.

Thanks for the "heads up" about the protocols being posted -- here is a link to the summary page, with links for all the disciplines:

Now I'm going to go take a look at some things I was curious about. :)

I was just coming here to post the same thing!

Sasha's 3F-2T in FS got bonus credit. We were wondering how this would be marked, because the first jump was at 1:59 and the second at 2:01. So we didn't know if it would get credit for being past 2:00 or not.

Wow, Judge #9 sure scored Sasha high. For interpretation, he or she gave her a "9" in her short and a "9.25" for long program.

But there is a wide range in Sasha's scoring...if I'm reading it correctly, Sasha received scores from 7.25 to 9.25 for some elements.

Ladies SP

Sasha’s flip was dinged for the two-foot -- -1.43 points (4 judges gave it -2, five gave -1) – so she got 4.07 for the jump (5.5 base value. Her non-jump element levels were spiral4, steps3, layback and flying spins were 4, combo spin was 3. Emily Hughes had 2 level 4 spins (layback and combination), other elements were all level 3. Beatrisa had level 4 spiral and flying spin, other elements were level 3. Kimmie had level 2 steps and layback spin, level 4 flying spin, spiral and layback were level 2. Her extra steps in the lutz combo really cost her -- -2.14 GOE and only a total of 3.86 points (only lutz counted). Alissa’s spiral was only level 3 and her steps were level 2 – all spins were level 4.

Ladies FS

Sasha’s 3T+3S sequence was counted AND given the 10% bonus on the base value with a GOE of -2.43 (again, 4 judges gave it -3 and 5 gave it -2). Her spiral sequence was level 4 and all judges gave it either +2 or +3 GOE. Quite a bit of variance on her level 4 layback and combination spins – majority (6) gave them +1, two gave +2, and one gave +3. Similar variation on her 3Z/2T/2L combo – two gave base value, 5 gave +1, and two gave +2. Highs and lows cancelled out, GOE was +1.0. Judge #6 gave the lowest PCS – ranging from 7.0 (PE, TR) thru 7.25 for SS and IN, with a high of 7.5 for Choreography. Judge 6’s “high” was just about every other judge’s low – actually it was lower than their lows. Judge 9 loooooooooved the program, giving 9.25 for Interpretation.

Both of Kimmie’s triple-triple combinations were given credit (not down-graded), but the flip combo (which I thought was severely underrotated – a perfect toe-axel), got dinged a bit (4 judges gave -1 GOE and 2 gave -2, the rest gave base value). Her layback and combo spin were level 2; all other elements were level 3.

Emily Hughes got -3 GOE for her loop, as expected – and it was down-graded to a 2 loop, so she only got 0.5 points for it. Her layback and combo spin were level 4, all other elements were level 3.

I don’t have time to look through much more now – but was glad to see that Matt Savoie’s huge and beautiful triple axel got a huge score – although some judges only gave it base value, the majority gave it +2 or more (on +3).

You mean skaters get bonus points if they do one or more 3/2 within the first 2 minutes of their 4 minute program?

I thought some of Matt's jump should get +3 GOE? Some of his jump had the difficult entry.

haha...did anyone notice that the pdf of the scores was created with a trial version? Its stamped on the bottom of the pages. I find it funny that the USFS had to use a trial version.

You mean skaters get bonus points if they do one or more 3/2 within the first 2 minutes of their 4 minute program? Not sure if you are asking because of anything that I posted, but skaters get a 10% bonus on the base value of any jumps landed in the second half of their program -- i.e. after the two minute mark. I remember reading somewhere that someone thought that Sasha's sequence had the first jump at 1:59 and the second at 2:01, but I don't think that was the official timing, because she got the 1.1 multiplier on both jumps.
