I honestly wasn't sure what to expect but they've mostly impressed me with their class and attitude. Of course, what a person says to the media and what they say behind closed doors are two very different things. Still, at least they had the good sense to remain respectful, unlike other skaters who seem to skate perpetually with their foot in their mouth. :footinmou

Although I'm not necessarily a fan of Emily's skating and have no idea what the girl is like in real life, I'm hoping she'll place well at the Worlds.

Emily is in the perfect situation right now. She can deal with this as Kwan did in '94, and gain the respect and admiration of the Americans, or she could whne and be a brat. She is getting more media attention now than she would had she made the Olympic team. She is playing her cards right.
This isn't to say that Emily isn't a sweet girl. I saw her at SA, and her family sat 2 rows down from us.....she seems very genuine.
