Suggestion for Kwan Fans at Nationals...Get behind Naomi Nari Nam and her partner!

Since Michelle won't be there for all you great MKFer's in St. Louis to cheer on, how about adopting Naomi Nari Nam and her partner, with some MKF Banners for her and Themi. This is her first Nationals in several years now, and I know she would be thrilled for MKF to get behind her big time. Just a suggestion.

Yes we should have? Yes, we should have???!!!! Why the past tense! Folks on this board are at nationals or on the way... plans for getting together in St. Louis... so, there should not be any past tense.

Use the planned banner making session/s to make some great banners and signs for Naomi and Themi! Come on people... make it happen!!! And others just viewing from home on the tube and plugged in here, via computer, cell, whatever... contact your friends in St. Louis or on the way there and put out the word!

If you ask, they will make it happen! SO ASK!!!!

Nope, I am sorry. I cannot really support anyone after hearing MK news. I did say to wish Sasha well as she goes for it. But, I really didn't mean it and thought MK would be at nationals to tear her up. I am so darn mad. I don't care about anyone at nationals. Thanks Suzibear. That link worked. I was reading NNN's journal, and she mentions that she and Themi have a great connection on and off the ice. I wonder if that means they're a couple. Cool, if so.

It isn't past tense. I teach and I know it's not past tense. If it said we should have had then it would be past tense.

Amber there are many stages that we go through in response to distressing situations. The disappointment and sadness that you feel have many phases or stages. Anger or rage are two of the of more visible and tangible emotions that people display in the early stages. So you are right on target. These early feelings will pass and you will be ready to move on to the next stage (which is not much better than the first). I don't think I could ever consider passing judgement on you at this time, and I do admire your honesty in expressing these feelings on a public forum. I don't think I would have had the courage or the strength to do so.

Naomi and Themi are not that kind of couple. Although the two have a great connection, its only a friendship and partnership. :)

I'm going to be cheering for them from my living room! I visted their website and I think they look stunning together. Everything I've read or heard is they are very good. I can't believe I'm saying this, but I am actually looking forward to the pairs competition. Naomi has had to come back from serious injury as well. I hope they kick some major booty! Maybe they will be able to revitalize US Pairs skating.

I am also interested in the men's competition. I'll be cheering for Tim. I hope he is able to put it all together one last time at Nats and Olys.

Ice dancing (the discipline I normally ignore) will be special just because of the citizenship controversy.

The ladies event will be difficult--it just won't be the same without the Kween. :bawl I do enjoy Ciszny, but I'm not sure I'll be able to listen to the commentary. Perhaps the mute button will work.

On FSU there is someone saying that they think Naomi should dump Themi and skate with Aaron Parchem cause he is the best US male pairs skater. I'm guessing that they have never seen this kid skate. He is 150 times more consistent than Aaron. Although Aaron is hands down more consistent than his partner Marcy, he in no way can touch Themi's consistency. It would be foolish for Naomi to even think of skating with anyone else besides Themi. I will give that Aaron is more artistic than Themi, but give that some time. I'm sure Naomi and Themi will gel nicely.

Naomi and her partner got lots of cheers from "our group" at practices and at the competition. She has "IT"...for sure...She is the only reason that I got up for a pairs practice...Fabulous...She really does "have next"....
