What is your opinion of Jenny Kirk and do you think the USFSA will give her a lot of support this season?

I was a little disappointed that she was invited to the Campbells event in St Paul.

I wish the ISU would of assigned her Skate America as an assignment during the Grand Prix series.

I guess the only time I will get to see her skate this season will be at Nationals. That sucks because after Michelle, she is the one I like seeing when I go to competitons :(

I think the USFSA has been very supportive of Jenny but she's done herself in with her performances at Worlds. She sounds more focused and intense this year so hopefully she'll skate better. There is a lengthy thread in Spoilers about Jenny Kirk you may want to look at.

I really like Jenny Kirk's skating but I don't think she'll make the Olympic team this year with her inconsistencies, lack of basic skating skills, lack of difficult and fast spins, lack of difficult footwork, and lack of beautiful and difficult spirals.

Maybe she can start focusing for the 2010 Olympics.

for Jenny to make the Oly team, she has to be better than Meissner, Hughes & Liang by a bit. & more consistent. the USFSA knows it has 2 winners w MK & Sasha & can be very free w that 3rd slot~

Katy, Emily, Bebe, Kimmie, Sasha and Michelle could have injuries so focusing on 2010 is stupid. Jenny needs to have good choregraphed COP friendly programs and be able to perform them well, then wait to see what happens. I want everybody to skate the best they've ever skated this season.

Kirk can instantly redeem herself with a win a big Nationals followed by an OGM. An ultimate head scratcher Olympic podium would be Kirk,McCorkell and Carter.

This I find a head-scratcher. All of Jenny's coveted 3rd spot rivals (Bebe, Kimmie, Emily, Katy, etc...) are fresh off the Junior scene. Jenny won Jr. worlds 6 years ago! Jenny needs to woop some kiddie-pageant butt with a sophisticated "womanly" program showing experience and polish in 2006. She needs to forget 2010, skate like it's 1999, and let all the kids know that the Torino team is for gals with drivers liscenses only.
