I found the following interesting blurb from Irina's fan forum site:

p203.ezboard.com/firinasl...2892.topic (http://p203.ezboard.com/firinaslutskayafanforumfrm1.showMessage?topicID=28 92.topic)

Also log on to the "All about Irina" section. It seems some fans are worried Irina may be way too "overbooked" in her choice of competitions for the season. But there is always the wise choices for financial incentive.

So whoever non-US lady(ies) is/are confirmed for Campbells and the (fall) Marshalls Challenge may not even have sent confirmation to accept the invitation. In the same vein of thought, info. from Johnny's site has not indicated whether Johnny has accepted to compete at the Japanese Challenge.

Personally for me, Michelle should just stick to one USFSA cheesefest where there is REAL top-tier competition (Sasha, Irina, Shiz, Miki, Fumie, Carolina, Elena Sokolova, Volchkova) plus her Grand Prix assignments. She could choose to bypass the GPF since it's dangerously sandwiched between the US Nats and Oly's. Just too much jetlag and geographical and circadian rhythm adjustment within 2 months. Plus there's Worlds in March.

Yes, apparently they are confirming skaters who haven't given their confirmation. Jeff Buttle is confirmed and someone who talked to his mother in Thornhill recently said he didn't even sent a reply to the invitation LOL

So I guess I wouldn't be surprised if this was happening with other skaters.

Actually, I believe the GPF is sometime before Nats (middle of December) in Tokyo . . . . .

4CC is 10 days before Olys and USFS thinks this is a good thing, b/c it is in Colo. Spgs.
