I just read the newspaper for the diocese this weekend and it said that Tara Lipinkski will be the keynote speaker at the annual bishop's dinner this year. I wonder how they got her to do that? I would love to ask her who her favorite for the ladies gold medal would be at the Olympics. Anyone else want to guess who she would say?

She actually once said since she retired from eligible skating she no longer watches the sport but I forgot where I heard this. Kinjda sad if you think about it.

Exactly WHAT has she been up to since she acted in that 7th Heaven episode? I haven't heard anything? Is she on Stars on Ice? College?

Well, thats cool that Tara is going to be keynote speaker. Shannalee, Tara has been working on the acting and hasn't skated since, like, 2002 or something like that.

She'll probably deliver an 'inspirational' talk, something like "Go for your dreams at all costs... regardless of whether your efforts leave you permanently incapacitated or injures you for life, that one piece of metal, a reflection of all your hard work, is totally worth it..."

If she's speaking at a bishop's dinner, I think she is more likely to speak about how her faith has helped her -- in good times and in bad.

Maybe she's trying to gain the church's support in her public cat fight with Vanessa Attler, or perhaps she's reseaching for a role, like the made for TV version of The Bishop's Wife. ;)

I think this is great - Tara is and has been a devout Roman Catholic. She is active in practicing the faith - praying Novenas etc. - very traditional Catholic practices. I think she's a great inspiration and role model for young Catholics.

Did not know she is having a cat fight with my gal Vanessa. Details?
I don't care what Tara does as long as they don't show that atrocity of a decorating job on that house she did down south somewhere. Yikes! Give me rose colored glasses!

Since it is a Bishops dinner, she will probably talk about her faith. ......I thought her dream home was beautiful and the HGTV network thought enough of it to feature it.I think Lipinski is neato.8)

'Me'. or
Wouldn't she say she'd like to give other girls a run for the OGM?
I remembered in a TV interview before 2002 Olympics, when prompt with some question like if she was not retired would she be in that Olympics? She answered with exactly above line.

There was a previous thread in here regarding a miscommunication between Vanessa Atler and Tara Lipinski. It had to do with a phone message Tara had left for Vanessa apparently with regards to winning an Olympic gold medal. You can go to www.vanessascorner.com (http://www.vanessascorner.com) to read her journal entry that clears up the confusion. Before that, you should probably to go Tara's website (I think it's www.taralipinski.com) to read her earlier journal entry that said how Tara wanted to make it clear that she NEVER said that Olympic gold medal was "not it was all cracked up to be," and how ABSOLUTELY HAPPY she was that she had won it. (Like it doesn't go without saying...)
