Oprah/Totmianina and Marinin

On August 18th there was something on Oprah on their accident at Skate America. I thought I should share.

I think this was a rebroadcast, from earlier in the year soon after she fell. It's August so it seems that all of the talk shows are rebroadcasting something or other so the staffs can take time off.

Were these skaters on Oprah?

I do remember seeing that Tot/Marinin got a lot of mainstream coverage after the freak fall and Tot's road to recovery (thankfully, not as serious an injury as it could have been).

What is truly upsetting to me as a skating fan is that mainstream media only seem super interested in fs only when something horrific happens such as knee whack incident of '94, Sergei Gringov's death, and freak fall for pairs skaters Tot/Marinin.
