I admit that I am addicted to MKF and it has made my life more pleasurable.
I am not now and will never be ready to get sober from MKF.
I am entirely willing to tell others about MKF, and in fact, one can find a link to it on my "pics & postcards" MSN-Group (see my siggy, below).
I ask my Higher Power to bless MKF and all the good MKFers, mod and member alike.

We'll be here when you take that first step ;)
Let me know if you ever want to come to a meeting. It might help to be surrounded by fellow...uh....friends. :p

IzzyS said ... Okay, here's a challenge to all of you: Come up with TWELVE STEPS! To help those few here who have no idea what the original Twelve Steps are, I decided I would post them.
From pages 59-60 of the Big Book:
1. We admitted we were powerless over alcohol - that our lives had become unmanageable.
2. Came to believe that a Power greater than ourselves could restore us to sanity.
3. Made a decision to turn our will and our lives over to the care of God as we understood Him.
4. Made a searching and fearless moral inventory of ourselves.
5. Admitted to God, ourselves, and to another human being the exact nature of our wrongs.
6. Were entirely ready to have God remove all these defects of character.
7. Humbly asked Him to remove our shortcomings.
8. Made a list of all persons we had harmed, and became willing to make amends to them all.
9. Made direct amends to such people wherever possible, except when to do so would injure them or others.
10. Continued to take personal inventory and when we were wrong promptly admitted it.
11. Sought through prayer and meditation to improve our conscious contact with God as we understood Him, praying only for knowledge of His will for us and the power to carry that out.
12. Having had a spiritual awakening as a result of these steps, we tried to carry this message to alcoholics, and to practice these principles in all our affairs.
Now, if y'all want to rise to IzzyS's challenge, you know the basis on which to build your new MKF steps.

Okay, here's a challenge to all of you: Come up with TWELVE STEPS! Get those creative juices flowing!
Step 1--We admitted that we were powerless over our addiction to figure skating in general and Michelle Kwan in particular, and that when there is anything about skating and/or Michelle Kwan in the news, on TV, etc., we turn into little mounds of jelly.
I forgot the rest of the steps--it's been awhile since I've been to an AA meeting.
(BTW, no, I'm not an alcoholic--I have a lot of addictions but alcohol isn't one of them. I had a dear friend who was in AA and I used to go with him to meetings. I loved it! I learned a lot and always came away feeling blessed. Sadly, he died in 1989, and I haven't been to an AA meeting since.)

Being addicted to the Mighty MKF is healthier than my other addictions..........nicotine,motor mouthing and corn chips........MKF is cholestrol free, non fattening, has so far never been linked to cancer, can actually generate new brain cells, rather than destroying what few I have left:eek ........is a relatively cheap as dirt habit, isn't anti-social,is at times educational, encourages athletics and athletes, beats the heck out of listening to hip-hop.:D You know you are addicted when a loved one calls and before you can talk to them, you have to first light up the MKF and take a toke.:smokin

This is only a message board... This is only a message board...
*walks off repeating to herself*
This is only a message board...This is only a message board. I will do something not involving Michelle Kwan today...
*heads to VCR to watch YRMU again* OOPs! Bad MarcellaMichelle!:b

2) Came to believe that a power higher than us can restore us to sanity when we're watching Michelle skate and eating tons of chicken and junior mints, while having a stomach ache from nerves and getting dry eyes from not blinking at the television screen :lol

I'm jumping to Step #5--I admit to all of you that I've screamed "Fall! Fall!" at the television when certain skaters were up, and screamed, "YES!" when they splatted.
(I won't say who they are but one rhymes with "Lewinsky" and one rhymes with "Pasha." God forgive me.)

Lets see Ezboard crashes and we can't get on MKF. How many people tried over 30 or more times to get on when it was down?
I missed MKF so much today, I resorted to desperate measures, emailing kwanstruck :rollin

This site is totally my stress relief. Whenever I'm exhausted or stressed at work, I jump on here for a few minutes and it always refreshes my mind and makes me feel better.

I am totally addicted to this site! Not only for a "stress relief" as some of you call it...great choice of words...but for information. I find out about competitions, skater's music, their programs, who is pairing with whom, who is changing coaches etc. I also thought I knew everything about skating, but until I joined MKF, I realized there was so much I didn't know and I learned it here.
I can also vent my frustrations about skating, judging etc. here, because no one in my personal life is as consumed with figure skating as I am.
Under Random Chat, I can talk about anything and find out so much information. I just read about the Romanian gymnast's problems and wouldn't have known about it unless I came to MKF. I can also talk baseball talk under Random Chat, which I love to do.
Yeah, I'm totally addicted.

I admit to being addicted and I don't want to cure it, espicially now with Michelle making another attempt at the OGM. This is one addiction I don't want help for.
I will continue to eat chicken and junior mints before each comp until I get sick if it will help Michelle. Anything for Michelle. :) :p
Bwheeler, your post was :rollin .
