I just wanted to tell you both something. Michelle, I called Carlys gym today to see if I could bring my daughter to the gym now that she is out of school and they said Carly is finished. SHe only comes to work out and train a little bit, but she is finished with competing. SHe is going to graduate this year and she is going to college. I am going to call them next week to see if she is going to be there,but I am not holding my breath. I was really sad when I heard that. I was hoping she would go for one more Olympics. I hope we can see her at least once before she leaves for college. I am wondering if she can be on a college gymnastics team? WIll her being in the Olympics keep her from competing on the college level?

DMBCHIC, I was watching a show today called "Ambush Makeover" and today part of it was in Raleigh NC. I think the name of the place they were at is the Campbell Village (or something like that) he host said it is a high end place where you want to be seen. SHe was looking for people who probably should not want to be seen in public looking like they do. Anyway, she looks for people to receive head to toe makeovers who have something planned for the evening. They suprise their family and friends with their new looks.
The lady she approached today is a lead singer in a group called "The Pink Slips". SHe needed a makeover (she didn't look awful, but she needed a little fix up). I was just wondering if you have ever heard of them and how is their music. SHe was with a few other women from the band when she was approached. I am curious what kind of music they sing and if they are any good. I didn't get to see the very end of her revealing her new look. I thought she looked terrible.SHe had brown hair prior to the makeover, but the stylist colored it blond with pink highlights. I thought it was awful. Have you heard of them? Are they any good?

If Carly accepted any money for her gymnastics--which does include any performances she might have been paid for on the Olympic tour or any competitions where she accepted a cash prize-- or she accepted any endorsement money, she has given up her college eligibility.

Thats cool hehe, but no I haven't heard of the band. The name kind of sounds familiar, but I don't really know who they are. :)

you might of made a mistake, but she's not graduating this year. she's the class of 2006 (like me) and is going to be a senior in high school at AHS.

Michelle, I was told by the person at her gym that she was graduating this year and going to college, but she had some classes with a friends son and he is not graduating until next year too. I was wondering about that.

DMB, thanks for that. I would like to hear them sing sometime.
SHe seemed like a nice person. THe host of the show was trying to dress her in a "punk rock" outfit but she said she would not wear it. I was glad to hear her say that. It was really awful.

Carly Is Queen. It's too bad that she's done competing. But I am still sooooooo soooo proud of her, and it's almost been a year. Can you believe that? Almost a year. I will always have my tapes :-) Many great moments.
