Why is it so digusting? Because Ashlee never says what "lala" actually is and nor does anyone know for certain that is something dirty, I don't find the song offsenively disgusting.

Although I would never pay to see her in concert, because her live singing voice is not to par, I do enjoy her "Autobiography" CD. It actually does have a lot of well thought out lyrics.

(But she will never be as well thought out in her lyrics as someone like John Lennon.)

"Blue Bayou" is high on my list of most annoying songs.

"Amazing Grace" actually has a pretty amazing history. PBS did a show on the history of the song, most of which I don't remember, sorry. But the first verse (or two) was written by a British sea captain of a ship that transported slaves from Africa to the Americas. He then "saw the light" and became something of an abolitionist; writing "Amazing Grace" was part of his making amends. The rest of the verses of the song have been written by other people over the years.

I've only ever heard that as part of a commercial and I still hate it! I'd rather she said what "La La" is! But it is probably as uninteresting as that song! It really is just a bad song!

But for most annoying although La La is close my vote is for the version of Lean On Me by Club Nouveau, I really hate to hear this song even start to play. Second is the version of Killing Me Softly With His Song by the Fugees, or really any version of that song for that matter. But I really dislike this one. Funny, I like Lauren Hill and Wyclef Jean separately, but I just can't stand them together in the Fugees.

Regarding "Amazing Grace": I absolutely love Judy Collin's version of that song.

When I was driving back East to help my mom during her final days in the hospice program, I remember having that song playing and coming over a hill and being breath-taken with an almost spiritual experience of the clouds highlighted by a sunset and a choir backing up Judy.

I'll never have what I understand to be "closure" on my relationship with my mother. But I really wish I could.
