I *think* I saw her on another board a month or so ago. This board is a very large forum though with a very high membership, so it can be difficult to keep up with less frequent posters there. The username was Shallah, not ShallahK though, so I'm not entirely sure if it was her. But that Shallah did post some news articles in a similar manner to "our" Shallah...

Either way, I also hope she returns! I've missed her news gathering ability and her posts here...

I am sorry to have left ya'll hanging like this. I got really sick with a sinus infection around worlds and then was got so much more disgusted with CoP than I lost the heart to read or post about skating. In other words I was alternating between depressed {:( :x :( } and tooth gnashingly furious {>: :x >: } It reminded me too much about some other things that can't be discussed here. If you see a Shallah at a certain political forum in a galaxy far far away that is probably me :b So now instead of getting :( & >: over FS I get :( & >: {not to mention :eek } over things I can actually do something about.

Shallah, I know exactly how you feel. I was out of the country this past semester, and my Mom taped everything (Nationals, Worlds) this past semester, but I was so disgusted with the judging at Worlds that I haven't had the heart to watch any of it since I got back. The way the CoP is working out so far is really taking a lot of the joy of watching skating away for me.

I just can't stomach it any more. All those wasted millions on a buggy and deliberately wonky system. All those wacked out programs full of schizophrenic nonsense because it racks up points. The only skaters who racked up points that had decent (aka rational) programs were doing similar choreography before CoP like J. Weir. :x to the nth power

I just saw this thread! So good to see you back here Shallah. If only figure skating was handled properly.... :( we could all enjoy what could be a beautiful competitive sport. We understand how you feel.
