I am no where near y'all, and I have been a skating fan since the mid 70's. I know shame on me. Everytime we go to Best Buy I run over to the tape section to see if there are any new skating tapes.

I have 23! Come next season, there'll be many more! I didn't really start taping until after the Olympics and I didn't start taping everything until really recently. For the smaller competitions, like Skate America, (vs. Nats or Worlds) I used to just tape Michelle and sometimes a few others, but now I tape everybody in all diciplines. I learned the hard way at Nats this year because I didn't tape Sasha'a short because I had never heard of her. Thank goodness they reshowed it during the Exhibitions! Right now I'm working on editing all my tapes to get rid of comercials and fit as much as possible on one tape, so they'll be all organized. I can't wait! :) And gee, I'll just have to watch everything again as I tape them, won't that be shame, wasting all that time? ;)

I have 20 plus. I too started taping after olympics but not every event. Now I tape everything michelle is in. It started because my mother would work and I knew she wanted to see michelle. Now I tape for my mother and myself. Nats '99 is the only one I don't have. When michelle gets finish skating I don't know how many I'll have. I have only 1 tape without michelle and thats the synchronize skating(worlds '00).

I have just over 50. I counted them last weekend when I started mt summer project of trying to organize the tapes. I started taping at 92 worlds, but I don't think I still have anything saved earlier than 94 olys. I tape everything I'm not home to watch, but don't save everything. I tape over a lot, more than I wish I had now. Guess we should all go buy stock in tape companies?

Wow! I was suprised at these results! I thought alot more would have over 100! I've just recently crossed that amount, I've been keeping tapes since 95.

Well, it depends if you tape in EP or SP because if you SP you'll have about 3x as many. I use EP.

I tape in EP and have been recording since the 95-96 season. My oldest tape is the comp. in Kennewick, Washington (the name escapes me at the time). I have 70 tapes.

but now I have only around 7 or 8. My tapes keep breaking on me and I've misplaced several others. Same thing happened with my gymnastic tapes, which now I have only one, and only a pro comp. at that.

I'm not sure; I've never counted but my guess is that I have around 30 -- most of them since 1998.

I have 160 tapes, mostly in EP (SP is too expensive to tape in!). I started taping in april of 1997. I also tape gymnastics, but only a few are gymnastics tapes since they don't show gymnastics very often:(

I have 30 right now, but I had more - spent most of the spring editing my tapes, getting rid of the commercials, and some of the repeated fluff. Although, sometimes it's fun watching those old commercials and news clips from 8-10 yrs ago!

I selected 51-100 but they may have been conservative, I haven't counted, I have filled the cabinet in the living room and they now overflow into the stand in my bedroom, and of course there are the tapes at work, I often sneak into a training room and throw one in the vcr. 8 hours without a Michelle performance? I don't think so. Inspiration for the rest of the day.

I always wish I had taped past competitions and kept them... it would be fantastic to be able to look back and watch them. Just knowing they exist would be enough! But I never tape them and keep them for some reason. Whenever I think of it, it always seems too late to start (which I know is silly). :(

So I have 1 - Cherie's tape. And it's enough. :)

Oh, the one thing I do want to do though, is start taping Silverstein and Pekarek's programs from year to year, because (I hope) they have a lot of years of fantastic skating ahead of them and it would be fun to be able to do a compilation tape "Best of" someday! :)

I have 108 taped since the 94 Olympics. It's mostly Ladies Singles. A lot of the Pro's and everything of Michelle, Nicole, Tara, Lulu, and the best Russians

I have a library....luckily my mom is also a fan....so I have many older tapes....they are fun to watch...to see how far skating has came.

How do u have so many tapes? Oh I think I know why? Because I tape all the performance just in case someone surprises me and if they dont I just record over it. DO u just keep all the performances?

I have 43 skating tapes so far. I went to Walmart the other day and bought a 10 pac of video tapes for the up-coming season. Plus I went through and made a list of whats on every tape and how much time I have left on them.

I have 25 tapes. You know you are a die hard MK fan when you stard taping her programs in sp mode for better picture qauality. I even went so far as to buying one single sony tape that is suppose to be the highest quality possible for a wopping $7.99. Later, I intend to convert these tapes into DVD's. It's funny how everyone else thinks I'm obsessed, but I come on this forum and there are other pple who are more obsessed over FS than I am.

This is so funny that this thread got bumped back up after having been started so long ago! I looked at my old post and I said that I have 23 tapes! Well now I am sure that I have over 100! lol Funny how quickly I ammassed such a collection!
