you know.. I actually think that Sarah doesn't have the greatest position on her spiral. It almost appears that her free leg is bent at times. It never seems to push to the sky, but rather linger behind on an otherwise amazing ability to render extension.

So my pick.. without a shadow of a doubt...is

Nicole Bobek had the best spiral ever!!! It's really no contest. All of the others listed here are very good, but this is a contest for second place.

Sarah's spiral is done on an inside edge and she has a bend in her leg.
Nicole, Sasha, and Tara do theirs on a more difficult outside edge with a straight leg. Michelle changes edges in the middle of hers. I think Sarah's is the least difficult all the top US skaters. It's part of the reason that she gets marked low on her SP technical marks.

Michelle's is superb, I think it is a tie between her and Nicole. She really should have been included because I feel she really popularized this. I think it was Nicole's signature move.

Nicole does have the absolute best spiral, but Michelle is queen of skating, period, IMHO.

I have to say Michelle Kwan do the most perfect spiral.The strenght and speed.Sasha is the princess.Nicole is runnner up.As far for Sarah I don't know althought she do the spiral her knee bent.It just don't look good .

Queen would DEFINITLY be Michelle... Her leg is high and NOT bent (mh-hmmm all you Sarah fans..).
Princess? SImple also! Sasha! She has SUCH great flexabilty!!!!!!
I wish I could do it that good....
Back to the subject.
Michelle doesn't bend over like till her cheast hits her knee...
Her back is up.... Her leg is HIGH....
And same with Sasha...
