Just thought I'd start a middle of the road thread, because I really cannot identify with either party anymore. So anyone who is moderate, have at it! :)

I'm probably a moderate because I think I fit on one side on some issues and on the other side on some issues and on neither side most of the time.:eek

I'm more to the right than to the left, but I'm left on some issues & sometimes find myself in the middle, so I guess I'm schizophrenic! http://instagiber.net/smiliesdotcom/cwm/cwm/uhoh3.gif But - I guess I'm truly a little to the right of middle.

DelilahsMom, I have no idea where I am in respect to the middle. The right really isn't very fiscally conservative anymore, and that was my main reason for leaning right, but Im not comfortable enough with the way the left presents itself, to say that Im left leaning, even though Ive come to agree with them on just about every social issue.

It depends how you define "moderate."

What's so extremist left wing about the Democrats? Are they having same sex orgies while using food stamps to buy weed and slagging the invasion of Iraq?

In Canada and much of Europe, The Democrats would be a slightly right of center political party. Bill Clinton would've been very comfortable in Canada's conservative party, what with his Defence of Marriage Act and cutting of income assistance initiatives.

And yep you're right about Bill Clinton. And yep, I agree about democrats being slightly to the right when compared to Europes politics.
