Georgie doesn't have the stomach or the "onions" to do ANYTHING about North Korea.

If we're lucky, China will keep North Korea in check. But then we have to worry about China lol.

My roommate just returned from there, and she said there are like 20 buildings going up at the same time, in any given place. They are booming big time. Still very 3rd world outside of most cities though, she said.

One day China will do something about Taiwan. If this happens, we are pledged to come to Taiwan's defense.

IMO-China is going to pick their time and place to see if the US is willing to go to war (and I mean a REAL war) over Taiwan.

I truly believe this will be the next big global conflict, and the deaths could be in the hundreds and hundreds of thousands.

Believe it or not, I think this is the right thing to do. :eek
When Bill Clinton was on Letterman last week, he spoke a little about N. Korea. N. Korea has nuclear capabilities, but won't use it on us or anyone else. If they did, they would be anhiliated off the planet...they know that. N. Korea's economy is in shambles and people are literally starving and freezing to death due to lack of heating fuel. The N. Korean govt needs $$$ and needs it fast (or else there could be a bloody revolution). In order to get $$$, N. Korea could sell their nuclear capabilities to a rouge nation or to terrorists. This is the most alarming part of the picture. The major powers of the world (China, U.S., and Russia) should do everything in their power to make sure that this doesn't happen.

OMG! Can you believe it? I support a Bush decision. What is this world coming to? :lol

I watched a loooooong and very straight on,unbiased documentary on North Korea which was mostly about it's average citizens and less about it's leader and politics. There are so many good hard working people over there.I believe in donating the groceries.Just make sure the good people know where it came from.We can't even be sure folks right here in America are going to appreciate "free food" and not bite the hands that provide it.I'd rather error towards the side of goodwill than keep on letting them starve.Maybe one day they will wake up like folks in Ukraine and Georgia did.

Keep in mind that it was George W Bush who sat with the figure skaters and even said hello to Sasha's mum at the 2002 Olympics.I don't recall seeing the US Prez at the 94 or 98 Olympics. If you search for the bad in anyone of us Earthlings you will surely find it. Look for the good and in most of us you will find it.Welcome to my nightmare Queen of Tecnicolour! Wanna buy sum wood???? All proceeds will be donated to the Foundation for Grass Mulchation.<!--EZCODE BR START--><!--EZCODE BR END--><!--EZCODE BR START--><!--EZCODE BR END-->"The moving finger, having writ, serves the grits!"-Robert Charles

What's your point? It's easily explained. As the Olympics were not in the US, and having perhaps more important work to do than gratuitous photo ops, he sent the First Lady and Chelsea. IIRC, Clinton did attend the Opening Ceremonies in Atlanta - but that doesn't fit your logic, does it.

Bush said hello to Sasha's mum because Sasha stuck her phone in his face, and because her family (Surprise! Shocking!) were living in Orange County at the time - the most republican enclave in a state that is overwhelmingly Democratic.
