In a war-torn region where 200,000 have been killed and 2 million displaced what did she expect? Perhaps they were "manhandled" and "shoved" to get out of harms way.

nooooo actually if you read the article, it says that after a couple of cars were through the gates, it shut in front of the other cars, then later one of the people was pushed up against a wall, and then later others were shoved away after a reporter asked a question. Not exactly how you treat the people you want to lift the sanctions on your country.

For what it's worth, I'm glad she got the apology.

It's the UN who imposes saunctions (and lifts them). If we would've sent a few thousand Marines to Darfur 2 years ago countless lives would've been saved.
If it was the U.S. who imposed saunctions and then offered no assistance/protection Condi would've been torn limb from limb and roasted over a slow fire.

If Bush had invaded Sudan,we would be bogged dwon in yet another very sticky situation and you would be insulting Bush for the decision.Look what is happening in Iraq. Those marines you suggest and anyone viewed as helping them or even being sympathic to them woul be targets. The forces of Satan would use it as another excuse to pratice thrill killing. In other words,Africans would still be suffering and either way,the anti-Bushs would say Bush is doing the killing.

And yet another clever retort from 8A!
How does he do it? Must stay up all night to think of such clever remarks.

Maybe if the psychos hadn't started killing alot of people there, thousands of lives would have been saved as well. And by "we" I assume you mean the UN.
Yeah I guess there shouldn't be the expectation of being treated well in a place like Sudan at this time. Its still annoying and angering though. Condoleeza was there trying to insure that they keep their promise to turn things around. Thats not the way to insure anyhow.
ETA: Here's a Link to a story by Andrea Mitchell, of what happened.

You have to scroll down to the next story. Brian Williams story is first.

Colin Powell and George Bush have used stronger words for what has been and is going on in Sudan than the UN is willing to use.Racial genocide is what it is,no matter how one chooses to try and make it sound cleaner. The UN reluctantly agreed to call it "ethnic cleansing". Slaughtering people because they are rather dark toned.Raping the daker toned women and girls so as to "lighten the children". If this isn't racial genocide,I don't know what is.<!--EZCODE BR START--><!--EZCODE BR END--><!--EZCODE BR START--><!--EZCODE BR END-->Feed the alligaters with hopes that they will eat you last.
