Hi, Kwanfanatic! Just wanted to drop you a note to let you and 8th Ave. know that I am still here, although quite busy, but that I am a Bush supporter and hope you know you have support.

Hi Ladybugs, i was wondering what happened to you. I am a Bush supporter as well.I am proud to be supporting Bush too. I have not posted here much lately. I am kinda busy as well. I have missed reading your posts, so I'm glad to see you posting again. Lately, Mike has had this all to himself.(i mean he has been the sole Bush supporter posting here. You are doing a great job by the way Mike.)
I enjoy reading your posts. Keep it up you two. We desperately need the Republicans view point heard as well.

Hello KwanFanatic.Good to see a fresh KF post.

Hi Mike and ladybugs. This is probably the only post you will see from me here. I have high blood pressure now and so I am just pretty much staying away from this side of the forum. I cannot disagree more with anyone from the left and I have no interest in reading any of their posts. I am only concerned about Michelle and her skating.

KF, welcome back & take care of yourself!
I must admit I smiled at your post ... couldn't bear to visit without making a little dig at "the left," eh?
The next couple weeks should be quite interesting in the political arena, what with debate over Miers, the Iraq election & the announcement of what (if anything) will result from the CIA/Plame grand jury investigation.
I'd love to hear what you think about some of this, but not at the risk of your health. Take care!

Hi KF!
Take care now, girl! We do want you healthy, after all!
Your self-prescribed remedy -- paying attention to Michelle -- is the best medication there could be for hypertension (I'm convinced!). I hope you have some compilation tapes of her -- they're great for your exact needs.

HI Mike, Ladybugs, Moxie and Elliebea. How are you all doing?
I hope you all are doing well.
Moxie, i have not really paid attention to politics much lately. I have a lot going on at work right now. I'm working on a special project that I have been trying to do for awhile and now with a family of 5, I stay really busy.
I don't have an opinion of Iraq. I have not heard enough of the news to know what is going on there with the different goups of people. (kurds, sunnis, etc.) I am pleased with the big turnout today. I just hope they were there to approve the Constitution. I heard something regarding the Sunnis and Kurds? I think saying they would vote to make ammendments to it or something. I hope the majority of people are happy with it and they can move forward to becoming a democracy. To be perfectly honest with you , and this may surprise you. but I have a nagging fear that if they do become a democracy, they will fall back into their old ways after we leave Iraq. I hope I'm wrong there. That would be a disaster and I think America would be danger if that happened.
Regarding Rove and the hearings, I have no trust or faith or whatever in the special prosecutor or the grand jury. I don't think Rove or Lewis did anything wrong, but I have a bad feeling about it. I don't think he will be convicted though. I hope I am right about that.
You are right, this will be an interesting few weeks. I have tried to stay away from politics because like I posted earlier, I am having some health problems. My hypertension is a cake walk compared to the other issues I am facing. I have Lupus (SLE) and it out of remission. I am having kidney problems and my energy is very low. I am tired quite a bit of the time. My daughter may be sick again too. I will find out on Monday or Tuesday if her tests are normal or not. It has not been a fun time lately. I will heal and be back to myself in a few weeks or a short few months and hoping for the same with my little girl.
( I hope she doesn't see that I called her a little girl) She hates that. Anyway, thank you for the nice words from you and elliebea. I really appreciate it a lot. That is really nice.
I hope that is the only 2 issues you mentioned. My memory is also suffering. That can only be blamed on me getting old!!.
Elliebea, Hi, how are you doing? How is Breanna.?? Is she doing well now? and how is your daughter and law and son?
I hope they are doing well. Are you enjoying being a grandma? I hope to be a grandma someday. My daughter keeps going back and forth about being a mother. She say she might not "choose" to be a mother. I hope she changes her mind when she marries.
You are right about Michelle being a cure for an illness. Unfortunately, my husband and stepson taped over a few of my Michelle tapes. I only have a few. But, a few is better than none. I had dinner with my father and stepmother tonite and we were talking about classical music. I asked my smother who her favorite composer was and she said the man who composed Michelle's Schez program. I was shocked, pleasantly. SHe has good taste. I enjoy that music so much, and the program was beautiful that Michelle skated.

KF,I'm hearing rumours that Michelle may run for President on the Republican ticket.Wouldn't that be a hoot? :lol :lol With Dick Button as her VP. I'm joking of course, but the ticket might my get vote if it were real. Finally some real sports era for the gals!!!

HI Mike, that is a hoot. I would vote for Michelle any day. Either Party. I would vote for Dick Button as Vp, mabye not for President though.
I like the way you think MIke.

Oh nooooooo, you don't. I would embarrass everyone. I could not do that to Michelle. I can skate pretty well, but I am in no way a competitor. I would be lucky to be able to do a single axle, salchow, lutz, toe anything. It would be good for a laugh though. I think I could do a spin and maybe a spiral, but that's probably it. Thanks for the post though and the thought. We are all very relieved she is healthy again. I don't think I could stand going thru that again.

Hi again KF!
Sorry I didn't respond sooner -- I haven't been around much in these parts lately.
But that's great about your daughter's tests being negative. A really big load off!
Gee, I didn't know about the lupus and I'm so sorry to hear it. I wish and will pray for your recovery or at least remission, for sure. It sounds really horrible.
Brienna: Oh wow! What a thrill for the grandma! I'm finally starting to see her father's features in her face which is something I was hoping for (secretly, of course!)
Yeah, there's so much going on politically it's ridiculous trying to keep up and maybe even a waste of time(!) given that Figure Skating season is upon us. (Priorities, huh?) We all need to pray for the good present and future health of our girl, right?

Hi Elliebea, thanks for the reply. You didn't have to respond right away. I'm glad you did though. I know what you mean about wanting Breanna to have your sons features. I was hoping my little firl would have mine when she was born. and she does!!. I hope all is well with you and your family.
I wish Michelle all the best and recovered health to her. I am a little concerned about her back injury. This is not the nurse in me, just a concerned fan. I want her to skate really well this year and get that 10th Nationals title. I want her to kick butt and get to the Olympics and WIN!!!. I won't think any less of her if she doesn't. She does not need it to be a legend or well thought of or remembered in a positive light. SHe is already a legend. Always will be well remembered in a positive warm light. She is awesome and I just want her to achieve everything she is desiring. SHe is a classy lady and she deserves all the happiness in the world. No other skater touches me and affects me like she does.
I am having kidney surgery on Friday, possibly Monday. Not sure yet. I cannot get the Lupus under control and back in remission. I am in renal failure now so it is getting serious.
Right now, politics are not that important to me. After today though, I am a little more intune. I am trying to keep my mouth shut and keep my opinons to myself and just see what happens.I have other more important things to concern myself with. I care more about Michelle and her skating career and her health. Of course my health as well.

Oh my goodness, KF! I'm so sorry and sad to hear that! Trust me, I will pray for you on this. You seem young to me, TOO young to be having such health problems!
You're a person of faith, are you not? I thought I saw mention of it sometime in Forum past. I hope so because it will give you strength. Are your doctors giving you promising information?
(I can see why politics are of decreased concern right now.)
You know, about Michelle: it's probably my age showing, but if she's turning up with hip injuries I'm much more concerned that she doesn't compromise her body for the Olympics or any competition such that she'll develop problems in later years or have lingering impairments, such as Tara Lipinski seems to have had. Even if it means foregoing an Olympic medal. Hurting herself is not worth it. (Of course, my ideal is that she's able to come back, remain healthy forever, and have a great Olympic experience.)
I'm thinking of you, KF. I hope you have all the support you need around you right now.

hi, thanks for the good wishes.I really appreciate it a lot. It helps me a lot to feel better. I am feeling pretty good today and actually had a good visit to the dr. today and I am actually showing sings of improvement!. YEAH!!. What a birthday gift for my daughter!!. SHe turned 10 today. I might even put off my surgery to see what happens. am having some tests on Monday and we will make a decision after that.
Yes, my doctors are giving me some good information and some hope. I have some really good doctors. Working in a hospital does have it's benefits. Sometimes those kind of non monetary benefits are the best kind. I know who the good drs are.
Yes, I am a person of faith. I went through a time when I questioned God a lot. My family went through a really rough time and friends were having a hard time. I was doubting God a lot. I am pretty much over that now. I still get angry and question why, but overall I do believe. My best friend and her husband keep my believing. I do have a tremendous amount of support. My husband and daughter and step kids are awesome. My parents and siblings are as well. Friends are incredibly supportive. I am blessed that way.
I know what you mean about Michelle. I don't want her to do permanent damage just for that one medal. I am kinda selfish though because I want to see her skate.!. I know I'm terrible. But really, I want her to have that medal so badly. It's not worth the pain though she would have to endure if her hip still gives her trouble. I wish her the best.

Well KF, you be sure that just as soon as your post-surgical recovery allows it that you let us all know how you're doing, okay?
I really like how you put this:
But really, I want her to have that medal so badly.
Your emphasis is on her having it -- your desire, in other words, is for her happiness. I recall recognizing that as my own over-riding sentiment in 2002, that I wanted Michelle herself to enjoy that achievement and that for me, she is who she is no matter what. And there will never be another one like her.

Hi. how are you doing? I hope all is well with you and Eightave and ladybugs, dec5, moxie etc. i just thought I would tell you that I had my surgery and it went very well. I am still pretty much "eating" pain meds, but over all I feel so much better after surgery than I did before. My doctor was amazed how well it went and that I have not had post op problems. With lupus, it is most times harder to recoup from sugery and that has been the case for me, up to now. YEAH!!. Thank you very much for the prayers and good wishes. I am feeling better and up and around again.
Happy Thanksgiving to all of you. I hope you all have a great day.

KF2002-
Sorry to hear about your surgery. Being in the hospital is rarely a good thing.
I pray that you get the results that the operation was designed to accomplish.
Take care of yourself.
May God bless you and your family!!!!!!!!!!! :angel

Hi, thanks for that. That is really nice. Yes, it is good news. I am having problems with my lupus and my kidneys. So far everything seems to be Ok.
I am very excited about that.
I was worried that this would keep me from coming to Nats, but the doctor thinks I should be able to travel then. YEAH, I am really really looking forward to it. Espicially with the health problems Michelle is having. I want so badly to see her skate live again. I hope she gets some more time in front of the judges before Nats, but it does not sound like that is going to happen. She can still win though. I believe in her wholeheartedly. I look forward to seeing her skate again. :clap

MKALLTHEWAY, Thank you soooo much for that. We are are doing very well now. Thank goodness we are. Were are ready to cheer Michelle on to victory in 2 wks I guess. Nationals is coming up too fast. I am not really ready to be as nervous as I get for her, espicially given that she has been injured. I have complete faith in her though that she will have another fantastic skate and she will win her 10th title. I am not ready to give up on her.
Thank you again for the good wishes and all the good vibes I can muster go to Michelle and her 10 title. Go MIchelle!!!!. I truly do BELIEVE. I guess I need to go shopping and get the Junior Mints and chicken. oh darn, I must go shopping.!!.
I hope you had a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you.!!:clap
