Hello, old and new BFFFers with a sense of humor. Here are the required elements. The great #9 <img src=http://www.geocities.com/Colosseum/3087/pictures/paulcard2.jpg> Piyo Piyo <img src=http://store1.yimg.com/I/opane_1528_159003249> BFFF archives <A HREF=http://www.angelfire.com/me2/KwanFanFiction/ >http://www.angelfire.com/me2/KwanFanFiction/ </A> It's getting late so I will post the introductions and disclaimers later.

Any bold has been done so by me and any [italics] in brackets has been added by me, not the original authors. Skatingfan For first time visitors WELCOME. This is 100% fan fiction. Fan fictioners agree to start a new chapter whenever the thread grows to 80 messages long. We also agree to never discuss this fan fiction material outside of Fan Fiction Land, i.e. we do not post any of this in rssif, FSW, or other threads in this MK forum etc. [Or the PK Forum] Fan fictioners are in the process of producing a play on MK and PK - Paul Kariya the captain of Mighty Ducks. The genius writer is Mano, contributing writers are Kooky, Yingshan (who is also the set designer), Wonder, A-Chan, and Littlepebbles. Chemy is the photographer. Magenta is the ultimate matchmaker, and the rest are managers of this co. I come here just to chill out. Sometimes we refer to MK as 6.0 b/c of the unprecedented # of perfect 6.0s she earned, and PK as #9, he wears #9. Yingshan To New Comers: Welcome to our fantasyland! The purpose of this place is for us to have some fun with our favorite skater: Michelle Kwan. We weave fictional accounts and speculations into very skimpy facts. So you'll be in serious trouble if you take what we say here seriously. And everything we say here are for your and our eyes only. None of this should be repeated elsewhere on the USNET, e.g. RSSIF, FSW.... [Or the PK Forum!!!!!] We're creating a romance novel/movie script. It's temporarily named "Ice to Ice" (I like "Icy Affairs" better). The leads are Michelle Kwan ("6.0") and Mighty Ducks captain Paul Kariya (#9). No, we don't know whether there's anything going on between them. We pick them to write because we think they make a perfect couple. [And not only because they're both Asian, or Asian and 1/2 Asian!] The main screen writer is Mano. I'm the producer/editor. My partner in production is Magenta. Chemy is our photographer. Wonder is my co-editor. Skatingfan is our sound whiz. Blizzard is our art director. Kooky and annabelle are on our contributing writing team. Littlepebbles is our director. Welcome to stay and watch our creative process. But please obey our confidentiality rule. We don't want our brilliant ideas being pirated. One More Criteria..... for anyone who wants to read here: YOU NEED A SENSE OF HUMOR! Mano Do not adjust your monitors, you have just entered...the Boyfriends Fan Fiction Zone (AKA BFFF) If you are feeling lightheaded, dizzy, and see Michael Jordan back with the Chicago BULLs (pun intended), you must STOP, click the "Back button" and seek medical attention quickly. If you happen to have a good sense of humor and realize that this is truly 100 % PURE FAN FICTION, then welcome to our humble abode. Remember, we are not responsible for any mental injuries that might occur upon seeing the fictional stories and pictures. In other words, enter at your own risk. However, we do offer BFFF Life Insurance. Ask one of our agents for more info. Without further ado...(drum roll) May I present the stars of the show... Paul Kariya and Michelle Kwan (Standing Ovation) <img src= http://www.geocities.com:80/Tokyo/Flats/3170/portrait.jpg ABSolute Role Models!!! <img src= http://www.geocities.com:80/Tokyo/Flats/3170/abs.jpg As the photosplicer responsible for the above pics, Chemy, would say "You are now in BFFF channel" The above disclaimer was paid for by the Friends of Michelle & Paul (AKA FOMP) a non-profit (and I mean non as in non-existent, right Yingshan?) organization. =========================== This is LP here: Not that PK fans aren't welcome (see NLK, I didn't forget you), they are as long as they don't show up trolling, send threatening e-mails, or go running back to the PK forum bashing us and Michelle. Cause unfortunately all that stuff has happened. Hope everyone enjoys our antics and don't be scared of Yingshan, she only bites on Tuesdays. :oÞ

And I caught a few things I missed last time. The show is called NHL Goal Shots and it's basically about what is happening in the hockey world. PK was on the section called Cool Shots this time and last time. The blond lady is named Danielle Raabe. It was a different show than the last time I saw. This time PK was showing Danielle the three different shots in hockey. I forgot what the first two were, but the last shot was a slap shot, which I thought was very impressive. He was shooting the puck into the goal past a fake goalie. Plus, as of right now (10:17pm EST) PK and the Mighty Ducks are playing the Colorado Avalanche on ESPN2. The score is 0-0 in the 1st period with 17:00 left. It's an away game so probably no MK. <font face=wingdings color=blue size=4>L</font>

After tomorrow my computer access will be limited for a week or two, so I just wanted to say Merry Christmas. You all are very gifted and make this place a joy to visit. It's getting hot and heavy in the rest of the forum and this is the one place I know I can speak my mind without causing a "Smack Down" event. I watched some of the Ducks/Col game, I was flipping between that & the Canadian Open. It was pretty wild. #9 slammed into the boards and looked like he was a tad shaken up, but came back in. Something interesting happened as quoted in the LA Times: The Avalanche challenged the legality of the sticks of winger Teemu Selanne and goaltender Dominic Roussel midway through the third period, winning on both counts and injecting some intrigue into what was a one-sided game. Here's two links if your interested, mainly duck related: <A HREF=http://sports.latimes.com/news/19991216/hko/ana/19991216fmtdvike.html >http://sports.latimes.com/news/19991216/hko/ana/19991216fmtdvike.html </A> <A HREF=http://ocregister.com/sports/ducno016w.shtml >http://ocregister.com/sports/ducno016w.shtml </A> The explanations Mano gave for Beamer & 74 were classic. After viewing the picture of a 74 I'm thinking maybe he's her bodyguard. :-) As always chemy the pictures are classic. But dummy me I can't seem to link (copy link?) the little pictures to my profile area in the control center. Do you mind giving another quick lesson? Later fiction friends, and again a Joyous Holiday Season to You and Yours.

Feeling good 'cause of BFFF and everybody in it. Just want to say thanks to Littlepebbles excellent unabridged disclaimer. Also to Chemy for the new and improved pose of MK and PK. Much better that. And for all the personal pics. Have to update my personal pic one of these days. Thanks KJesse for the holiday greetings. May you have a great one also, filled with fun, laughter, and food...lots of food. Hey it's the holidays, we be allowed to pig out a little. 'Sides, if we don't gain a few pounds, what will our New Year's resolution be, eh? Now for my Ducks game review. Mind you I don't do this often, but had to 'cause that was, bar none, one the most fun hockey games I have watched in a long time. And I only caught the 3rd period 'cause I didn't come back from choir rehearsal until 11:30 pm eastern time. That game was a blast all the way down to the illegal stick penalties given to Selanne and Roussel. Sheesh, I thought stuff like that only happened in baseball. Heehee, I was floored 'cause they called two. Kudos to ESPN2 for explaining the rules. What was cool was that all the players played hard, passionate, and showed their character throughout the game. No complacent, non-commital, flat-footed, dull Ducks. You could literally feel their energy flow through the TV. I was so psyched after the game I stayed up for NHL2Night and it was 2:00 AM (thus no icq) in NYC 'fore I got to sleep. Now if the Ducks play like this from now on, they'll have no problem getting through to the playoffs and maybe go past the 1st round. Hope the Kings continue to sink...apologies to any Kings fans. Keeper of last night's game. Selanne kissing his hockey stick in front of the Avs's bench!!! Think he did that twice too. LOL, that was a trip. This Teddy's finally sportin' claws heehee. Only saw PK crashing to the boards from the hilights. I bet somebody went to the cell phone quick and asked the trainer if her sweetheart was alright (wink, wink). Missed Stu's fight, but did see the last fight in the end with Rooch caught in the middle. Weird, wild game but lots of fun. Sharon, apologies. I'll get to the Ice Age probably by this weekend. Been working late as usual...uh, writing this from work again (on my break).

Here's me trying to cheer meself up. I've reverted back to my Filipino Corniness. Here's a super old old joke from the Jurassic times. And yes it's PK related, hehehe... Use Paul 4 times in a sentence. * * * * * * Give up?!? * * * Alright, here's the answer to what mano might say to Paul Kariya if she ever spots him near a swimming pool (fat chance of that ever happening), complete with FOB (Fresh of the Boat) Filipino accent: Paul be carePaul, you might Paul in the swimming Paul!!! nyahahahahaha (Filipino corny laugh) Okay, that's it for my corniness. Only emerges once a year, usually around the Ides of December. Yeah, yeah, I'll stick to the story writing, mayhap will have something tomorrow. Last but not least, had a bad dream last Thursday. Okay it was a nightmare of sorts involving MK and the Ducks. Apparently, in my dream, MK did go out with one of the Ducks, but it ain't PK. Some white guy (narrows it down to like all of them) who sort of has a College look about him, you know, dazed confused look, has a goatee, but was blond I think. Honestly doesn't look like anybody playing for the Ducks right now, thank God. Anyway, I think it was Coach Hartsburg who spoke to me (Ha, fat chance of that happening too). He said that the reason why Michelle hasn't been in any of the games this season is because she broke up with that mystery Duck and there's been tension in the club house from PK and other players I think. Also used that as an excuse for the Duck's poor play. Anywho, I think that's all I remember 'cause the rest of my dream had something to do with some weirder people. Then I woke up and thanked God profusely again for realizing that wasn't real. I know, I know, stay away from coffee and Prince Valium, bad mix that...(just kidding, never even met a prince, nor took Valium, love coffee though)

Chemy! You've filled your quota for the week! As for Extra Crispy... Just to let you know. I saw an article in ESPN magazine today about brothers playing in the NHL. Of course, Paul and Steve were the headliners in a two page spread. Paul was in profile, laughing. It's a great pic. Chemy may have use of it. It's kind of similar to the one chemy used.

Just finished watching the rebroadcast of last years World Pro. Michelle skated East of Eden and OH my gosh I forgot how much I love that program! Lovely and beautiful and oh yeah, perfect! Anyway ... afterwards, they showed Michelle backstage, talking to Elvis Stojko, who gave her a kiss (!!). Not a *kiss* kiss, but you know what I mean. A hug kiss. What was he doing there? I mean, he wasn't skating, was he just watching Michelle ... ? And then, as she's walking away, Michelle turns back to him and says, "thank you, well, I'll talk to you ... after," and gestures toward the door. I saw this competition last season, but I don't remember that part. Could it be that we're missing something? HMMMMMM ... :D Amelia

I was at World Pros last year and all of the skaters were there, not just the ones that competed. I forgot why, but they all went to a party afterward in this banquet room upstairs. After the competition, my friends and I saw Philippe Candeloro walking around backstage from where we were standing. My friends and I found out from one of the ushers where the party was going to be. And we went upstairs, not to go to the party, just to try to get a glimpse of the skaters when they went in. We were on the other side of the rope looking over. But if Michelle had come by, we would have called to her. <font face=wingdings color=blue size=4>J</font> But before any skaters came by, some MCI dude came and threw us out. <font face=wingdings color=blue size=4>L</font> So, no Michelle. That was probably what she was talking about seeing Elvis at, and that kiss was probably a brother-sister kiss. Shameless plug: If you haven't already, read my story A Christmas Carol (BFFF style) in Fan Fiction. <font face=wingdings color=blue size=4>J</font>

On the First Day of Christmas my true love (hint PK) gave to me... His Visa and a shopping spree *** Welcome back Wonder, we all wondered (pun intended) where you were hiding. Ooh, another BFFF X-file theory: Get this, MK shows up at that Monday Night Live right after a Vikings vs Packers game. If you harken back to the Madden2000/MK Game story, you will recall that I had the Vikings AND Favre and Reggie White from the Packers in the mix even though it was against the Broncos. Maybe PK was watching...Coinkydink? I think not. Another thought, Matt Cullen must have been watching 'cause Vikings is his team, and he sometimes sports a goatee, but is not blond. Pascal is blond and currently "dazed" from a collision in the Blackhawks game. My bad dream is being realized, aargh. Last depressing thought, did you all know that Matt Cullen watched the Dave Matthews Band in concert over the summer according to his bio on the MD's site? Well, Michelle did say in a interview once that she likes the Dave Matthews Band (first time I heard that) as well as the usual Tori Amos, Tracy Chapman etc. Eeek, no, not Matt Cullen, he's all wrong for you MK... Michelle Cullen? Doesn't sound as good as Michelle Kariya. That and we have to change her initials to MC and Arrgh to the 10th power. Methinks I had too much coffee this morning.

just want to remind everyone to vote for pk for the all star game 2000, he's leading by a large margin but still..... <A HREF=http://www.nhl.com/allstar2000/ballot_wendys.htm >http://www.nhl.com/allstar2000/ballot_wendys.htm </A> with the duck's win over the ducks, they are now third in the pacific division right behind the coyotes and sharks. did anyone see the game against the red wings? pk and chelios were at it again, in a war of words. i couldn't hear what they were saying to each other but by lip reading i could tell pk was spitting out some bad words. i was rather surprised. maybe you can work that into the stories some how.... i dunno just a thought

I'd be happy to see the Elvis stuff come back because it really killed me LOL! ************* #9 turned the corner just in time to see a very red-faced 6.0 push away from the tight embrace of a certain Canadian figure skater. "Knock it off, Elvis. We're not alone anymore." #9 looked startled, rattled, and more than a little red-faced. "I..I..I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to..." His voice cracked and he turned and hurried away down the hall. ************* (Overheard a few minutes before this episode): "Elvis, I thought you said he was coming. My neck is killing me here." "Shhh! He just stopped for a drink of water. Get back into position will you." "Are you sure that this is such a good idea?" "Trust me. All this guy needs to realize what a wonderful woman he's taking for granted is a good old fashioned scare." ************ (Overheard a few minutes after this episode): "Here's your ten dollars already Elvis. Now get out there and tell him that it was all a misunderstanding. That we were practicing for a short pair routine to close winter COI. And you better make it convincing or...or..." "OK! OK! Calm down and breathe already. This guy is as good as yours. Have I ever been wrong?" "I don't know. Are there any graduates of the Stojko School of Romance that I can interview?" *************** (Overheard a few minutes after the last after that just happened or something like that, he its late and I'm trying to finish here so give me a break.) Elvis rushed around the corner and right into a determined young woman barreling down the hall from the other direction. "Well?" The tone of her voice let him know that he better have a good answer to that question or a fast exit. He couldn't help but laugh at her anxiousness. "You are new at this aren't you?" "ELVIS!" "Relax. When I caught up to him he was leaning against the outside of the building with his head in his hands. You've got this guy all wound up. What did you do to...(OOMPH) What did I say? Michelle? Michelle?" She was already out the door by the time Elvis caught his breath after the quick punch to the stomach. She breathlessly called his name but he was nowhere to be seen. She dejectedly turned to head back inside when a sound caught her attention. She turned to see him holding a bouquet of flowers. "Hopefully you're looking for me." "Oh, Paul. I'm sorry. I just didn't know how else to get your attention. Then Elvis came along with this crazy scheme and..." He put his finger on her lips. "Shhh! Its kind of hard to kiss you when you keep talking." ***************** Long live Elvis (hee hee).

What happen to a topic you post a week or so ago about a tree growing in that other board. I ask you how to look up the bio and email of posters from fsw, b/c I am computre illiterate? BTW, can you tell me how? Then what happen to the thread that someone post about why MK is not skating to OMT anymore, and you said she does not need to hold him one more time, because she is is telling him that she is kissing him, and there is no idle hands etc. You know the message you post that "seemed" like you had too much plum wine. Yah, I heard a rumor that you have received a huge end of year bonus from the production company, so you and the rest of the production crew flew to CA, and had a great party in an exclusive Chinese-Japnese-Scottish restaurant, and ate the best Peking duck and had plenty of plum wine.

and what a great Christmas gift we got from Chemy who just went ballistic on fan fic pics. If that's what we're going to get for holidays, I say let's celebrate Christmas everyday, eh? Yingshan should give you a Christmas bonus for that. Skatingfan, yes, I confess, I was inebriated of sorts on Plum wine. It made me say those things on Willowdale's topic regarding One More Time, Kissing You and Hands. Only true BFFers would have gotten the drift. It's still there too and I explained myself afterwards. You scared me though, 'cause I thought Jenny removed my post or something 'cause that's what she did for "a tree grows in FSW." She didn't know what to do with it and felt it might cause a flame war. Anywho, no big whoop. To answer your question though, on top of any FSW members post are two icons, one is a plain envelop (for email if the user supplied it upon registering), one is an envelop with a face. The one with the face is the profile, just click on that to get the user's info if there is any. And yes, I'm at work typing this. Only half day though, so don't cry for me fan fictioners, the truth is, I never left you...heehee

I can't post about Michelle's appearance on Monday Night Live because of this. You can see my detailed report in rssif. Right now, only rssif and e-mail function work. I forgot to mention in my rssif report that Michelle has a cell phone tugged on the waist band of her black leather pants on MNL. I found that interesting. Never seen her carry that to a show. Hmm...wonder whose call she can't miss. :-) mano, you poor thing. Still working huh? Hope you get Monday off. chemy, your bonus (in Kwanbacks) is in the mail. I've been plotting a novel. Though it's inspired by MK-PK, the story will not bear any resemblence to MK's or PK's real life. It's completely fictional. I'm wondering whether I should write it in the BFFFland so I'll have the discipline to write continuously. But with my computer so act up, I guess it won't start any time soon. Hohoho... I need to put all the kwanbacks onto the sled and prepare to squeeze into your chimneys...

Yey, Yingshan is going to write a novel!!! Yey, that means we get to CRISPIFY her when she's late, bwahahahaha. Fellow BFFFers, I have the distinct honor of being first on the "CRISPIFICATION" line. All I have to say is, wait your turn, heehee. *** Chemy, this just in from the Philippines. Apparently, Y2K conversion have already been implemented. The Y2K conversion for the days of the week are as follows: MondaK TuesdaK WednesdaK ThursdaK FridaK SaturdaK SundaK Lastly, there was a C2K conversion too, thus Corny became Korny, hehehehe!!!

mano screaming to the 10th power!!! Man, thank you God, thank you Mighty Ducks, MK and PK. Best Christmas gift ever, check this!!! BTW, (added for NicoleM et al) the following occured on JANUARY 17, 1999 at the Mighty Ducks Fanfair held at Arrowhead Pond. (Day after my B-day *grin*) <img src=http://www.mightyducks.com/global/local/images/history/gallery18/081.jpg> BTW People, that ain't Chemy's photosplicer, that's the REAL DEAL, baby!!! Man, I've waited almost a whole year for this. Needless to say, there is a BIG smile pasted on my face right now and will be that way for a looong while. I'm one HAPPY camper. Couldn't decide whether to faint or hit the roof upon seeing the pic. I did a jig instead. Happy, happy, joy, joy!!!

HUGE GRIN ON MY FACE :D and a double AAAAHHHHHH! so it was all at mightyducks.com all along huh? Look at the happy couple...er plus a teemu. Me thinks that the wrong person has their arm on her shoulder, but that takes away the media suspicion. Mano, you will never be crispy again...instead just a nice golden brown. AAAHHHHH!!!! Paul has a pretty big grin on his face too :) That's a mighty happy duck.

It has almost been a year, Mano, what persistence. Our angel looks fantastic. So #8's hand is on MK's L. shoulders, Mk is hanging onto dear life to the hockey stick, and #9 had his R. hand on #8's R. shoulder, and his L hand is holding the stick. Maybe Chemy still needs to do some touch up. BTW, Mano, I am sure you have bought the copy of ESPn with a full page pic of #9, and #18. I finally got hold of the BA bulletin about MKs house purchase. There is a nice B&W pic of MK. I am still mad that BA is printing such confidential material in the bulletin. I hope 6.0 makes good use of that house.

That doesn't seem right to me either, that they would advertise something like that :( But mk must have given her consent. *sigh* I guess the dorm life was just a bit too loud for her, with her busy schedule. I'm still pretty excited about that picture mano :)

LEANING. Michelle seems to be leaning ever so slightly towards Paul. Likewise, Paul is leaning towards Michelle. Her arm is nice and snug up his side, as it should be. Paul's hand is around Teemu's neck and seems to be applying pressure little by little. You know as in, "you better take your hand off her shoulder else I squeeze harder, eh?" If you all look closely, that's a pained smile on Teemu's face, hehehe. Well, Chemy can fix that pic soon. Apply the eraser method and Teemu will be gone in a Finnish Flash. Apologies, of-course to TS.

December 26th, 1999, 06:53 PM
You earned your Kwanbacks and more! How did you find it? Did they just post it on the site or we just never found it? I think 6.0 and #9 were snugging tight there, don't you think? There's more a gap between MK and TS. There's a theory that you can tell how the relationship is going between a couple by observing the distance they keep while talking to each other or standing by each other. Really. That's a good sign. Plus, TS had a polite smile on him face, but both MK and PK had a genuine, ear-to-ear smile. That's another good sign. Body language is everything. :-) Now, when can we get a sequel with only MK and PK? Will MD host a FanFair again in Jan? Any news? Mano, since I maintain the position of director and producer of my novel, you're in no position of crispifing me. But, since my AOL has problems, I don't know when I can post anything. I'm using my mom's computer again.

I was getting my pot ready for crispification too. Well at least give us an idea of your novel. I checked their galleries soon after the Fanfair and saw no sign of it (and I'm a regular visitor). Consider it an answered prayer of sorts. You know you're a die hard MK/PK fan fictioner when they are part of your daily prayer list, hehehe. It was weird though. Just finished a fun-filled Christmas and wasn't even planning to go online. Something told me to go online ("if you go online they will come") so I did. Was ICQing with littlepebbles too while surfing and stopped by the MD site. Saw their "Millenium pics" and started praying to God hoping there would be even a small pic of MK with PK in one of the galleries. When 3 AM hit NYC, I screamed 'cause I never, in my entire life, ever thought to actually see an up close and personal pic of MK and PK together(with Teemu, sigh). Yes, yes, somebody in the Mighty Duck Organization took pity on us longsuffering fools!!!

that trading card of PK's 50 goal season? Apparently PK wasn't 1/2 neked, he was 3/4 neked. That is definitely a thigh peeking through the nice loin cloth we call a towel. <img src=http://www.mightyducks.com/global/local/images/history/gallery9/044.jpg>

Chemy, you never fail to crack me up. Constructive Criticism though, methinks PK's right paw should be a tad larger. Heehee, great job wiping out Teemu though, that was smooth. As for the other pics, sad to say, that was the only one that was featured. Just be thankful we actually got something. That and the small clip from '99 Worlds should keep us inspired for a while. BTW, Yingshan, haven't heard anything about another Ducks fanfair for 2000 yet. The only event I know about is the Mighty Ducks Care Skate-A-Thon on Jan. 23, 2000 to benefit the Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation. I don't think MK will be there (if she was invited) since she just competed at the Grand Prix the week before. That and she probably has school to worry about as well as train for the Nationals in February. It would be cool though if she was going to be there, but highly unlikely. Here's the link for more info on the Skate-A-Thon. <A HREF=http://www.mightyducks.com/specialevents/skateathon.html>http://www.mightyducks.com/specialevents/skateathon.html</A>

Chemy don't mind Mano's criticism, constructive or not. I believe ducks have web feet and not paws. 6.0 looks absolutely gorgeous. You know why I love this pic, b/c the lighting etc make the complexion of their faces look wonderfully matched. So Mk probably won't go to the skatethon. Where will they celebrate their anniversary?

Yup, no romantic rendezvous for PK and MK tonight. They are technically "Star" crossed. As for the stories, I haven't made any 'cause I figured I found the MK/PK pic I get a free week of no writing. Mayhap this weekend will yield something. Speaking of yield, it's the last day of the year for me to be corny so hear goes. (old joke revised) FOB Filipino Accent required: mano was driving (haha joke right there, me NYC commuter, no drive) down a street in Anaheim trying to look for Arrowhead Pond. She finally got tickets to a much coveted game (joke right there again, Ducks attendance down) between Detroit Red Wings vs Anaheim Mighty Ducks. An officer stops mano in her rented orange with yellow polka dotted Volkswagon Beetle (punch Buggy) for passing a yield sign. Officer: Miss, did you know that you did not yield back there? mano: but Opiser, but Opiser, I yield and I yield but nobody anserd. AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA, corny. Okay Happy New Year all.

#9 looked at the mess he made. There are down feathers flying every. Oh, no his housekeeper will fire him this time. But how could he worry about housekeepers. In the past 20 hours his world is turned upside down. The loss to the D.S. was a tough one, but he can deal. After the game, the team stayed over in the big D to welcome the new year. He went out with them w/o his cell phone. 6.0 called and was not able to reach him. Finally he was flying over the grand canyon when he reached her. #9 enthusiastically, "Hi, happy new millennium love." 6.0 a bit subdue, " same to you." #9, " Sorry, I went with the team last pm after the game and forgot my cell phone. I am really sorry. Can't wait to see you" 6.0, " That's ok, I figured you must have forgotten your cell phone..........well, BTW, ......" #9, " The suspense is killing me." 6.0, " I am not in LAX, I am at the Seatle International Airport. #9 thought oh no not that S word again, "how come." 6.0, "Long story, for security reasons, we have to by pass LAX, and charter a flight to Seatle. It is believed to be safer." #9, "Are you ok." 6.0, "yes." #9 overheard a young man's voice in the background, "Shan Shan they are calling your flight for the final boarding now 6.0, " I have to go." #9 thought who is that guy, he does not sound like R. the Great, he managed to say, " I love you." 6.0, " Same here." click. He had been ruminating about "Shan Shan", who in this whole wide world would call 6.0 by her middle Chinese name. Why is she leaving from Seatle, and why did she not return his "I love you" with " I love you." It was just "same here" Things were not any better after the flight, he got home and could not stop thinking about Seatle. He knew nothing about Mr. Summer O. Seatle until his best buds found a Phil. H. article that was written in the summer of 98. That was before 1/99. 6.0 had never brought up Mr. S., and #9 had never asked. He kept telling himself that it is nothing. He does not bring up Miss Teacher Vancouver or Miss Petticoat B. Columbia, b/c there is nothing to tell. But her recent trip to tri city via Seatle, and now this really bothers him. Without even knowing he beat the pillows and now there are down feathers flying everywhere. He wants to scream. __________________________________________________ ____________________ 6.0 had a tough day too. She planned to meet #9 at LAX, her flight is supposed to leave 2 hours after his arrives. Last minute the security people informed her that she has to change plans, and fly out of a small local airport to Seatle. She tried to call her love a trillion times, and he did not answer. She was anxious and a bit mad for a while. Of course she can not stay mad at him for long, then she quiets her mind and hopes they could reach each other by phone before she boards the plane. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mr. S. O. Seatle waved good bye to W. Shan and her parents, the plane had left for half an hour, he was still staring at the sky. He felt like crying but no tears, how could he cry. He messed up. Their parents are the best of friends, and growing up he heard all about R. the great, big and little Kwan. He had never met them, he grew up in another continent b/c of his parents jobs. He returned to the States 3 years ago, and started college in N.Y. His dream is to qualify for the olys. Spring 98 his parents told him one day to go to the airport and pick up Shan Shan, b/c she is coming to N.Y. to do a promotion photo shoot for GWG 98. That was the first time they met. He was struck, but did not do a thing. He told her that he would be home in the west coast in the summer, and will call her. Then the summer and fall of 98 came and went, he did not go home, he was training in Colorado springs. Finally during his Thanksgiving break 98, he called and asked her and her sibs to go to a ski trip in 1/99. The exact days were 1/14/99 to 1/18/99. Then at the last minute he cancelled, b/c his coach was sick and he had to fly back to N.Y. 6.0 went elsewhere on 1/17/99, and the rest was history. He told himself, at least they are good friends now. S.O. Seatle mumbled to himself, "I messed up, but #9, don't you dare mess up." S.O. smiled and thought, " Maybe I should say a prayer for them."

AT least in my fictional world, I dealt with that in a harmless way, haven't you read, that S.O. and MK are best of friends now. She can have friends. And he is saying a prayer for #9 and 6.0. I think I did a better job than you (wink) about explaining potential night mares. And Ms. TEacher, and, and Ms. Petticoat do not give you nightmares?
