My conspiracy theory (with is no worse or stupider than any of theirs) is that they want to put MK fans down so badly that they lurk here so that they can find posts and threads to copy/bookmark so that when they go on a MK fan bashing tangent, they can pop them out as "proof" that we're all terrible people. Example: Like what is happening on a certain other board right now (not FSW or the REAL TRUE TARA FANS board; clue: a number of them seem to suffer from incontinence).

I find it interesting that they never save any of the threads where we critique anything of Michelle, say nice things about her competitors, etc. My guess it that it would ruin their "MK fans are evil and think Michelle is perfect" defense. I also notice that some of the posters on the "Michelle and her fans are evil" thread were also posting on a thread that was started for the specific purpose of putting Michelle down, and they didn't seem upset about it at all, in fact, they were adding to it or encouraging it.

I'll just say that I would rather be a psycho rabid MK fan than a sanctimonious hypocrite who is so stupid that they can't tell a skater apart from a fan who that skater probably doesn't even know.

I personally became an MK fan when she was 12, and placed sixth at her first senior nationals (I'm happy to say I was an early and steadfast convert), long before Michelle had money, an agent, any sort of recognition or reputation, or this alleged Borg-like media publicity machinery behind her to hog all the TV and newspaper time and deprive her competitors of the headlines. (PUHLEASE). At that point, almost nobody in American had heard of IS (unless they'd seen the junior world championships), I'd never heard of TL, and Maria was busy preparing to fail to qualify at the world championships and thereby deprive Russia of a single ladies berth at the 94 Olympics.

As for the comments on FSW and what I presume to be the "breakaway board", if they don't like what they read here, why do they indulge in masochistic behavior and force themselves to read stuff here? Do they really have nothing better to do to amuse and occupy themselves? I wouldn't even bother to read anything on the latter board, but the people at FSW, I just don't know why they'd even care. I couldn't even find the relevant thread, which one was it?

Thanks littlepebbles, for the links. I had avoided the second like the plague 'cause I knew where it would eventually go, and anyway, who even CARES whether they like or hate each other? Its irrelevant. As for the first thread, I suspect if the alleged troll hadn't committed the majority of their offenses on MKF, but elsewhere, there wouldn't have been such an uproar about rabid fans persecuting people across boards...

I hope that all this venting is cathartic for you all, but no offence or criticism intended, but I think you all are assigning too much importance to what these people are saying about you/us/MK fans in general. If you look at these comments objectively, or as objectively as you can get, given the content, these are just angry, bitter, and/or resentful people throwing bombs at others. Some of the comments weren't even particularly coherent or intelligent. Let 'em think what they like. If you respond to them (and you can be sure somebody will read this thread, too) you're only feeding the fire, and giving them more credence and power than they deserve.
