Hey guys! just thought i would start a new thread in a new area! sorry, i would post the "required elements" but every time i try to go to the previous fan fiction thread (to copy the images) it shows a blamk page. anyways, i guess this could be our "welcome to a new section" type thing.

It is hot hot hot summer time! I think Mano or Yingshan or L.Pebble will post the welcome note. :)

Thanks for starting a new thread, akemi_chan! EZ Board just added a bunch of new features, so I was able to move Boyfriends XIV from Fan Chat to the new Fan Fiction board. Now that Fan Fiction has its own place, the old threads should stay longer.... ;-)

Thanks, Heather and Jenny! Sorry, I'm too tired to write up a disclaimer. Anyone wants to copy an old one? How's everyone's holiday? Littlepebbles, that's a bummer. I need to go back to work. Otherwise, I'll keep spending. :-) Horay for Lindsey Davenport, Tiger Woods and US women soccer team! I finally got around and bought Loreena McKennitt's "The Book of Secrets" CD. It's great. I loved "The Mummer's Dance" even more than "Dante's Prayer". I read two Star-spangled Ice Show reviews and neither mentioned a #9 sighting. I'm wondering whether Tracy and Californiaice know how #9 looks. Guess not. Littlepebbles, I keep forgetting to ask you the picture below your name is Sade or yourself.

Thanks akemi-chan for starting a new chapter. JENNY, CONGRATULATIONS!! I envy you. When oh when will my prince come, sniff. Congratulations again to you and Ari. How about this new boyfriend banner: <img src=http://www.geocities.com:80/Tokyo/Flats/3170/mkbf.jpg> Source: Jenny's MK Website, Heather's MK Fan Page. Note: "Real" as in real unadulterated pictures, unlike the PK-MK duo.

We also agree to never discuss this fan fiction material outside of Fan Fiction Land, i.e. we do not post any of this in rssif, FSW, or other threads in this MK forum etc. Fan fictioners are in the process of producing a play on MK and PK - Paul Kariya the captain of Mighty Ducks. The genius writer is Mano, contributing writers are Kooky, Yingshan (who is also the set designer), Wonder, A-Chan, and Littlepebbles. Chemy is the photographer. Magenta is the ultimate matchmaker, and the rest are managers of this co. I come here just to chill out. Well, since it's michelle's 19th b-day, we can assume something special might happen.... <ring ring ring> "Will someone please get the phone?" says a sleepy Michelle. She rolls over in her bed and remembers everyone is gone. they had gone out to prepare for her birthday party (which would be that evening). she picks up the phone and thinks, who would call at this time in the morning? "Hello?" "Is that you Michelle?" answers a familiar voice. "Oh hi Paul! i wasn't expecting you to call me until lunch time!" "Well, i thought i would take you out for breakfast...i guess a suprise birthday breakfast if you could call it that. maybe i should just wait until lunch." "Oh no, it's okay! i'll be ready in like a moment!!" "is that okay? i can always come later. if it's too inconvenient...." "It's alright! i guess you can come over right now--i'll be ready! bye bye!" she didn't mean to be in such a rush, but michelle was looking forward to seeing paul since talking to him in anaheim during her Champions on Ice tour. She began to get dressed...... and someone wanna finish that? go ahead and pick up where i left off....i am in a hurry kinda right now...i hafta go! bye bye!

We have to of course say Happy Birthday to Michelle. This weekend has been good news for a lot of sports fans. I guess we have to congratulate Pete S and Andrei A doing so great also. And the women's soccer team from China and the U.S. I have not drop by the fan fiction country club for a while, seems like everyone is happy, and we should be it is 7/7 after all, a day in history, the great skater in the world was born 19 years ago.

here's hoping that we learn of how PK swept MK off her feet for her birthday. First, they spend a fun-filled day together at Disneyland. Then, he leads her blindfolded to a surprise...the festively decorated Duckpond (see Chemy's pic above), where they indulge themselves in a private, romantic candlelit dinner on ice (complete with soft music playing in the background and dozens upon dozens of red roses). After dinner, Paul takes her by the hand and they skate (or dance) together to (insert your favorite romantic ballad/melody here). Don't know how this would end because I don't want it to!!

On my way home, I heard local news radio's (980) female anchor asked the male anchor how old Olympic "gold medalist" Michelle Kwan is. I couldn't help but smile. People really don't remember who won at the Olympics. They just assume Michelle did since she's so famous. And it's barely over a year. :-) Littlepebbles, Derrick Delmore is one of my favorite up-and-comer. I couldn't tell that's him from the small picture! My bad! :-) skatingfan, I'm not a fan of Pete or Andre, especially not Andre, so I felt indifferent toward their Wimbledon performances. I'm not a big fan of Davenport but I was rooting for her. You must be excited that Tiger not only won but got the #1 ranking back too. I watched several holes on Sunday and had to leave when he's leading by two on the 8th. I haven't watched any US women's soccer games. I'll watch it this Sat. I happened to talk to a co-worker today about figure skating. Without promping, he immediately told me how upset he was with Olympic's result. Not only he wanted Michelle to win, he also wanted Tara to lose badly. He thought she's a brat. He got the impression from the fluff piece CBS did on Tara during the Olympics. He's no skating fan. He said he wanted Tara to lose more than he wanted Michelle to win and he's really upset that it didn't turn out the way he wanted. I got similar reaction when I first saw Tara's interview and fluff piece when she's 12. It's amazing how Tara struck so many people this way.

Annabelle, I do not keep up with tennis much, I think Sampras has a live in gf, i could be wrong. Derrick Delmore - I totally agree he has probably the best line and presentation among men. You can go to www.usfsa.org and look under athletes, and find a brief bio on him if you click his name under team C. If you have recorded mens nats 99, he used rondo capriccioso for his lp. Besides being in college - Stanford, he is a classical pianist, and skater. Yingshan thanks for mentioning Tiger, very happy for him to regain his #1 ranking in the world. Also very glad that EA is coming up a a new Tiger game to be relased about the same time they release Michelle's skating game. He is a very hard working young man, immediately after Western Open last weekend, he answered his fans email, and wrote his monthly article on 7/7/99 on his official site, club tiger, BTW memebership is free. If I may use fan fictiion land to say one more thing about him or golf. It is really good for me at least during skating and Michelle withdraw to use the time and become golf overdosed and Tiger intoxicated. Woudl you guys consider that for off season. There is not divided loyalty or conflict of interest to enjoy master Tiger and be an avid hockey and Michelle fan. Tiger flew to Carnoustie/ Scottland with David Duval (supposed to be his chief rival and Mark O Meara together this past weekend and he is preparing for the British Open now with those guys + Payne Stewart - current U.S. Open champ.

Kooky: Could you e-mail my husband and suggest that he give me the birthday scenario for Michelle for my first wedding anniversary (this saturday 7/11/99). I would love a candlelight dinner on the ice and to have an ice rink all to myself so that I could fall down in private. Now everytime a Mighty Duck player comes on TV my husband asks if that is "Michelle Kwan's boyfriend." LOL! When Mano (where the heck is she anyway???) went to COI, she bought a Piyo Piyo for MK because she thought it looked like a duck. I found a picture of him and he became the FF mascot. Hello EVERYBODY!!! I missed you all!!!(mano says while paying homage to the 1/2 neked PK) Wow, cool digs we have here!!! Thanks a million Jenny and congratulations BIG TIME. Thanks Akemi_chan for starting the new thread and for the breakfast story. Enjoyed it and well hey, that's a TBC? (To be continued) Alright, where's the rest of it. Meaghan and Magenta (WELCOME BACK, missed you something fierce around here), thanks for your great reviews of the Star Spangled Ice Show. Are you both sure you didn't see a 1/2 Japanese, 1/2 Scottish looking gent in the shadows? He may have been hard to see at first 'cause he favors black clothing and all... Skatingfan, Tiger was in fine form this weekend, congratulations. Back on top too with this win. Hope he wins a major this year. What's next for him anyway? Yingshan, I felt the same way as your co-worker when I saw a fluff piece about you know who. Anyway, wish you were able to go to the Spar Spangled show, you'd probably spot him in a jiffy. You know how your eyes are trained to spot MK's name and pic on magazines etc, same way goes for PK I guess. Wonder, I agree, it's been hot and humid here in NY for the past few days too. It doesn't help me be creative, that's for sure 'cause my computer is stuck in my room and at one point it was like an oven in there. Had to sleep where the A/C beckoned. Imzadi, nice to see you here often. Maybe we can incorporate some Trek fan fiction too. Your name had something to do with love right? Annabelle, any news on PK yet? I only read about Teemu Selanne on LA Times today and he mentioned that he can beat Lindsey Davenport in Tennis. Also mentioned that Davenport has watched a couple of Duck games at the Pond. Kooky, I like your birthday wish too. I'm still thinking of a song for them to dance too...be back with that later. Marcella, LOL on your husband's comments. I also enjoyed your whole 2002 Fan Fiction. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Here's to hoping it becomes a reality. I'd add a couple more 6.0's in there myself. Googoo, I'm smiling myself. Didn't somebody just post how most people think MK won the '98 gold? Littlepebbles, thanks for the piyo piyo explanation...and I still think it looks like a duck. Bearpaw is on vacation this week I think. Hope she is having fun. Shallah, wherever you are, thanks for all the polls and articles you keep trackin' down for us on MK. And Chemy, did I ever tell you that your pics keep me ROTFLOLOLOLOL all the time? The Banner is no exception and I'd put an X on the "real" ones, if I had the power to. BTW, I really like the "well..." pic of MK and PK. They seem to know how to "lean" perfectly for you and Anna to do creative stuff. PK does seem to have that "possessive-MK-is-mine" look in that pic you posted. Fictionally made for each other they are. Did I miss anybody? Forgive me fellow fanfictioners, but methinks the humidity + flu + overtime at work = bad memory and no creativity of late. You guys are great though for making this place absolutely fun. See you all tomorrow. I've got to get me some sleep. May your dreams be filled with PK and MK sitting on a tree...

Paging Mano! I spotted Magenta but does she know where to find our new home? Excerpt from Kooky's story: "After dinner, Paul takes her by the hand and they skate (or dance) together to One More Time." <img src=http://www.geocities.com:80/Tokyo/Flats/3170/hbdanceonice.jpg> BTW, Kooky, I received a card from your mom. That was great! Glad she enjoyed the orchid. :-) For Imzadi, here's a repost re Piyo Piyo (it would have been easier if I pulled it out of our archive but that archive is not updated--yoohoo Shallah the Archivemeister) mano* (4/16/99 10:01:13 pm)&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; (Madison Square Garden COI) ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ...Yup, back from COI and I'm too tired to regal you with a review, but I actually warn you, I'm not that great at it. It is my first time at an Ice show, so I was just too excited about everything and didn't take notes. I hope the other attendees did better. Funny thing, I got surprised by a fellow MK Forum inhabitant. He came all the way to where I was sitting (I posted my seats in the COI topic) and he said "Is there a Manolita here?" I'm think he said my full name, not so sure, but I was floored at that point. I didn't think I'd actually meet a fellow MKF person, and it's the coolest thing. Guess what guys? His name is Paul, NOT Kariya, but he knows about us!!! Funny that!!! BTW, I gave MK a PIYO PIYO Duck, if you guys are familiar with the Morning Glory, Sanrio brand. Same family as Hello Kitty, Pacheko, Keropee, etc. The Duck was about 8 1/2" tall and shaped like a fat furry yellow egg with a squooshed orange beek. It had a graduation cap on its head and was holding a diploma too. I placed it in this cute gift bag stuffed with light green japanese paper and yellow paper streamers. I also included 9 Japanese moon shaped/heart shaped lollipops colored purple and aqua (sorry, no teal). Gave her a card thanking her for being such an inspiration and congratulating her on choosing UCLA. Had my other friends sign it too. No, didn't have time to get a baby duck jersey. I wish I took a picture of it before giving it away so I can post it here. It was a cute. I have no way of knowing if MK ever got it though 'cause we just gave it to a security guard who was carrying other flowers and stuff that other people gave for the skaters. All he said was that MK was going to get it. Oh, well, that's all for now folks. More tomorrow. And then I followed Mano's story with a pictorial recap. I had no idea what Piyo Piyo looked like at the time. chemy (4/17/99 1:37:31 am)&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Mano's COI ------------------------------------------------------------------------ April 16 1999, Madison Square Garden. Hello to my entire fellow fan fictioners! We finally have our own place to call home. Thanks to Jenny and Heather! It’s nice to be back home and getting back to my regular routine of lurking around our BF-FF thread and the entire MKF. I missed you all!! I just finished reading Chapter 14. So, no 6.0 at the NHL award night huh? Well, at least there was no other woman seated to #9’ right nor to his left (per mano). Let’s give them a little bit more time to date and be comfortable with each other. We will surely see them together one year later. Wanna bet? Thanks Littlepeebles for the tips. Now, I am a master of it. It is just a matter of left click and right click. I have to remember which one comes first. LOL! Mano, you mean you posted in MKF and FSW looking for my whereabouts? Geez, I have to hide my face in the barrel after doing that embarrassing act at the Star Spangled Ice show. I hope there are no other Kwanholics to recognize me. Chemy, I sure found my way to our new home. All I do is just follow your spliced photos of 96 and it leads me here. Fun pix of MK and PK as usual. You still get to keep the job as photographer of Ice to Ice then but you need to improve your efficiency. Your output is too slow, which is below the BF-FF’s expectation. Our expectation is one new picture per day and not one per week and no recycles. ……Joke only. Yingshan, what’s up? How is your shoulder/hand? Know what, we have one extra ticket to the Ice Spangled show that day because one of my friend was having a stomach flu from the food we had at Cabazon (the big premium outlet place at San Bernardino) a day before the Ice show. I instantly thought of inviting you but there is no way for me to get in touch of you. BTW, can you refresh me with that fluff piece CBS had of Tara during the Olympic? I don’t remember a thing about her coz I was not interested at all to watch her that time and even now, I care for less on her. Skatingfan, I am equally thrilled with you on Tiger’s recent ranking. I hope he will win the British Open this time. BTW, I have some close up pictures of him, which I took from the Masters Tournament in 1997, the year he won the green jacket. He’s cute and nice. Hello to annabelle, kooky, bearpaw, akemichan, googoo, taboo99, marcella and everybody out there. BTW, I didn’t spot #9 at the Star Spangled show. As Meaghan mentioned, the place was jam-packed. Besides, I didn’t bring my binoculars. It probably will be strange if I have one and start looking through it. This time around, I can’t pretend to my friends that I am looking for Jack Nicholson because it simply is too impossible. Haha. I would think that PK don’t dare to appear at the Ice Castle show unless he is introduced as one of the special celebrity guests invited by Carol Probts. If he shows up as a regular audience, it will certainly lead to more media and fans speculations.

Welcome back! Geez, it's about time you come back! :-) We missed you! My shoulder is doing better. Thank you! Darn, you don't know my e-mail address? Here it is: operettajk (on AOL so you can add the rest). I don't want to post my phone number here. If you e-mail me, we can exchange phone #. I'd love to go to the Ice Castle Show. I didn't go because 1. it's a two-hour drive 2. I had appointments in the morning. Heehee, I looked at the crowd constantly with my binocular during the COI and the Angels game in June. Other people must think I was weird but I didn't care. #9 wasn't there probably because they're not ready to make it public yet. :-) I don't remember the fluff piece on Tara either. I haven't even watched the LP tape. My co-worker said it's a piece about her family and her friends. She just struck him as a brat even though he didn't know too much about her or figure skating before. I must have missed the announcement about Jenny. Is she engaged to her Ari now or she's married? Either way, CONGRATULATIONS, JENNY! skatingfan, did you watch the Wimbledon? I think Tiger can make a good match with Alexandra Stevenson. She seems very poised, sweet and unassuming. She's also quite lovely and has a great bloodline (Dr. J's daughter). But the drawback is the mother-in-law. :-)

Sorry to come into the Fan Fiction land, since I just read the posts here, but I thought I'd tell you all something about the Star Spangled Ice show. There was this guy sitting in the VIP seats in front of me. He was wearing all black, which I thought was kind of odd. And he had some flowers which he kept carrying around....But, he was definitely 100% Asian, sorry, and from the pictures I've seen in these threads, he looks nothing like #9. But I was trying to place who he was, since he looked very familiar. Off the top of my head, he looked like a cross between Michelle's brother and Michael Chang, the tennis player. He kept getting up during the show, possibly going backstage. Anyone have a guess to who this would be? When I first saw him, I thought it was Michelle's brother, but I doubt it was since he wasn't sitting with her family, and this guy didn't look totally like him. Thoughts on the mystery guy?? Akemi Chan - I decided to make an attempt at finishing your story. Please let me know what you think. From Akemi Chan: "Will someone please get the phone?" says a sleepy Michelle. My Addition to the story ... Now wide awake with anticipation and excitement, Michelle jumped out of bed and threw open the drapes in her room and watched the sun begin to lift the dew off from the gorgeous red roses opening up in front of her house. Michelle was grinning from ear to ear as though there was a secret that only she knew. After a wonderful, long cat-like stretch, she said aloud, “OK, Michelle, time to get moving if you are going to be ready when Paul gets here. I wonder what he has planned!” She leapt into a spilt jump in the air as she made her way to the closet giggling. Michelle had only been out on a couple of dates with Paul, but she knew that lightening had struck! She felt so comfortable with him, secure with him. Michelle didn’t have long to wait for soon after adding the final touches to her outfit the doorbell rang. Not knowing what the morning would bring, she decided to wear a simple black dress with a blue and white scarf around her neck. Humming You Were Meant For Me by Jewel, Michelle answered the door. She was very surprised to see Paul casually dressed in jeans and a golf shirt when she answered the door. “Paul! I’ve missed you!“, Michelle exclaimed as she and Paul embraced. Paul laughing, “I’ve missed you too!” As he gives her a kiss on the cheek. After a few minutes in the doorway catching up, Michelle remembered that they could also talk inside and not just in the doorway! “Come on inside for a few minutes, its appears as though I need to change clothes or you do. What did you have in mind for this morning?” Michelle asked. “Well, there are several options,” Paul responded. “I know that being in the spotlight as you are all of the time, I thought that you might just like to escape and become part of the crowd. So, we can go to the beach for the morning with the picnic breakfast I have prepared. I also know that you have been wanting to learn to play golf and so I made a tee time at the country club if that is what you would like. Or, I also brought a tux and made reservations at a restaurant nearby, if that is what you would prefer. So, my figure skating queen, what would you like?” Michelle was stunned! Wow! Teasingly she looked up at his eyes. “Since you are in the golf shirt, is that a hint, Paul?” and she laughed. “Actually, all of these choices sound wonderful! Thank you! How about a compromise. Why don’t we start with breakfast at the beach and then play a round of golf?” (For fan fiction members who prefer the romance – this is more typical of guy behavior!) They agreed with this plan. Michelle went upstairs, changed and they left together for the beach. At the beach, they had a great time. The sun was out, the beach wasn’t overly crowed and both of these high profile athletes got a chance to relax. Then, Paul let romance take over. He had a beautiful bouquet of flowers with 6 yellow roses and 6 reds roses as the centerpiece for their picnic. He hesitated after placing the flowers on the tablecloth and said,” Michelle, these yellow roses represent the wonderful friendship that we have developed through our time together, phone calls and letters. The red roses are a reflection of my growing affection for you each time we are together.” Michelle gave Paul one of those soulful looks that her figuring skating fans know so well, only this time it was for real. Trembling she took his hands. She couldn’t understand these nerves and she willed it to stop. After all, she was an extremely confident person and could perform in front of millions of people on skates and not react like this. What was going on. Paul gently took her chin in his hand and kissed her. For the rest of the day, Michelle was in a daze! What a great birthday! They golfed and then went to her birthday party. Not that Michelle would remember any of it. Toward the end of the party as Paul was leaving Michelle paused thoughtfully. Paul asked, “Michelle, what are you thinking about. You are even cute when you frown.” Michelle answered, “I was thinking that I didn’t want this day to end. It has been so perfect.” Paul gave her a goodnight kiss at the door and whispered in her ear, “I love you.” and walked to the car. - The End

I'm not quite sure that's him. The guy I saw had longer hair, not like, in a ponytail or anything, but it was pretty bushy on the top and the sides. The face KIND of looks the same, but I don't know...who is that guy anyway? Love Meaghan

How romantic. I just told Littlepebbles that I'm thinking of retiring from this writing stuff 'cause you guys got this down to a science. Wonderful ending to Akemi's beginning. As for the mystery man, Alls I have to say is, be a little less obvious dude, walkin' around with the flowers is a bit tacky. (Unless he is PK, then it's alright.) Double Standards for the sake of PK and MK is allowed, methinks.

there is a page 2 to this thread. Matching Tiger with the newest tennis sensation is a nice idea. Actually Tiger has a ? girlfriend vs best gal pal, her name is Johanna I believe. All I know, and some other Tiger fans may be more up to par with this info, is that she is very beautiful and seems down to earth, and can keep up walking 18 holes at his tournaments, and she is not a celeb. To think about it, not too many top male athletes marry top female athletes. Chris and Jimmy sure did not work out, Terry Bradshaw and Jo Jo did not work out. Let us hope in the real world Kristi and Hedican work out wonderful, but then to me he is not a top male athlete. Of course in fan fiction land everything is possible. BTW, Yingshan, since you also belong to the prestigious rssif country club, I want to know whether the legendary Joe Inman, the judge who only gives 6.0s to Michelle is also a golf pro in the senior tour. I was watching the senior U.s. open today, and they showed this guy Joe Inman who is currently 6th or something in the final round. This Joe Inman looks 50ish, and wears glasses. Even though I was at world pro 12/98, and Joe Inman was judging there, my entire attention was on MK and the other skaters, I did not even try to look at what judge Joe Inman looked like. Magenta, sounds like you are always having fun, and going to all the most memorable sports events and tournaments, good for you. Care to post a Tiger Pic for the rest of us to see. After all, in my fan fiction, he will be Michelle's children's Godfather.

Did you see Michelle holding a bouquet of red roses as she came out of the dressing room? Were those the same flowers as this mystery guy was carrying around? Let me think, when I was watching Michelle stretching at the cafeteria section, I didn’t notice any guy that would fit your description. Hmmm.... Michael Chang? No, No. PK? approved! LOL Chemy, we can always count on you to come up with something for us to laugh at. Who is this guy? An American gymnasts? LOL!!

Meaghan, are you SURE that guy was not PK? One thing I noticed from the Up Close interview was that PK looked very Asian from behind or in profile. It has something to do with the high cheek bone and the shape of his head. Another Asian-looking guy in black. Hmm....what's the chances of that? Plus, if that guy is MK's bf, the bouquet would have been given to her at the first chance. He wouldn't have carried it around the whole night, unless he intended to give it to her after her performance in public. Did he do that? Another thing is that he didn't sit with Kwan's family. If he's her bf, I'd think he would have. Don't you think? Maybe he's there for someone else, not Michelle? Hey, Asian guys don't always date Asian girls. Chemy, I don't know about Magenta, but this boss is NOT amused. I thought that's Mr. Seatle. I almost got a heart attack until I found out that guy's from Arizona. Whew........ skatingfan, it took me a day to figure out this page 2 thing. :-) Tiger's gal sounds good. Wondering how he met her. Sorry, I don't know much about Joe Iman. Christine Brennan mentioned he's a musician. I don't know whether that's his full time job. Remember, all USFSA judges are volunteers. They all have other jobs.

that was a pretty romantic ending! thanx for finishing the breakfast story for me! if only it were true <sigh>...anyways, it seems like i've been away from here for a long time!! i discovered that the Orange COunty register DID NOT put michelle's b-day in the newspaper!! i was really disappointed! i wonder if PK was complaining....maybe going over to the editor or something to change it perhaps?!

I don't know, I don't know, I don't know! I don't think it was PK, but I can't be positive because I've never seen him before in my life, only in the pictures you guys have posted here, and he really did not look like those pictures. Magenta, I don't remember Michelle walking out with flowers, because I was too worried with following her bodyguards so I could get her autograph like you! Sorry about that. He could have just been a fan. Heck, if I was brave enough, I'd love to give her flowers. This guy was kinda odd - he was walking around a lot before the show and he kept getting up in the middle of the show and leaving and coming back. I don't know, I thought that was strange. Personally, I didn't think he was very cute. His face is fading from my memory as time goes by, but all I know for sure is that he looked like a cross between Michelle's brother and Michael Chang. I mentioned that to my mom after and she agreed. I didn't see him anywhere after the show, though, and you think if he was associated with Michelle in any way he would have stuck around....I can't be sure on this. I feel bad for bringing it up! I didn't want to create rumors or anything! He could have been waiting for someone else in the show. I didn't recognize any of the people he was with either. Love Meaghan

We all could use a drop of reality once in a while, like accepting the fact that MK might be interested in someone else, sigh, sniff, sniff...I mean it is her life, and <hiccup, snort, sniff> maybe this other guy stole the thunder from PK <sob, sniff, sob> Excuse me while I compose myself...WAAAAAH!!! Just kidding, all this talk of Tomato's and guys walkin' around in flowers though has got me itchin for September when Hockey pre-season starts. I hope to see a televised hockey game that hopefully features MK on the stands rootin' for the ducks while studying. If ABC does the honors instead of their siblings ESPN/ESPN2, MK may be interviewed, hopefully. Lots of hoping there, but what the hey it's MK/PK. Yes Magenta, going to the Mighty Duck's fanfair isn't out of the question for me...Just have to figure out when that will be and hope to schedule my vacation time around that. I can already see my family shaking their heads at me once they find out the reason of my wanting to go west. "But it's the Ducks!!!" (and MK and PK and I hope to trip one of them into each others arms if they aren't already there, that is). Just kidding. heehee. Yingshan can be the tour guide (if you don't mind that is Yingshan?) Anyway, nothing is finalized yet.

I've been lost in the switch, I hope I haven't been totally forgoten ;-) Well I hope I can just flow into the mix of things. Reading all of your messages if that japanese gymnast was the one there (just with longer hair) he would be a "summer olympic hopeful". If I don't need to work, that is. :-) I'm the figure skating guide in Orange County. Another rssif pal was talking about visiting next month. Blizzard! Welcome back! Michelle's parents got her a Lexus. It's a SUV, not a sedan which I imagin PK has. But where she gets the idea of a Lexus? Inquisite mind wants to know. And that gymnast comes from Arizona, not Seatle. So he's it.

Akemi Chan and Mano, Thank you so much for the kind words! This was my first attempt at creative writing - I am typically a math/accounting/information systems type of person. Mano - Don't You DARE think of retiring from writing. We need you! In fact, don't you think its time for another installment. Did any other fan fictioners watch the US Women win the World Cup this weekend? I am not sure that I have any finger nails left after watching the game. It was so exciting! Oh well, glad I found it. Where is Chemy and Kooky? Do they know we are in page 2? LOL Yingshan, when I first saw that US gymnast, I thought he was the Olympic hopefuls from Seattle. the other takes over. Thanks Bearpaw and Akemichan for continuing the love saga. Now if only Anna or Imzadi can takeover the graphics department. I'm in a slump. Yes, Ms 36-shooter Magenta (LOL your SkatesSpangleOnIce review) I know my way here. That gymnast's pic gives me the creeps. Meaghan's Mystery Man made me suspect it's this Asian-American athlete who's been tagged as Summer Olympic Hopeful. The two probably met at '98 GWG. True he's not from Seattle, but for all we know, MK intentionally misled us. She didn't want to outright reveal the guy's id. I think Yewk is it.

I hope Mr. Seatle is not that guy. Why would MK deliberately misled, it is not consistent with her character and the way she treats her fans. She always says her life is very transparent and like "Truman show". P. Hearst reported the Seatle guy once, he probably misquoted MK.

So, Mr. Arizona may be the Olympic hopeful from Seattle? Ya can see it in his eyes...sorry dude, but in our eyes MK is already reserved for a strong, powerful, hunky duck who lives way closer to her. Anabelle. Gives us something to do like comparing Skate America/Skate Canada schedules vs. the Ducks schedules. TV schedules are also accepted, I don't know if ABC, ESPN or ESPN2 have their schedules for the coming season out yet. They could always use PK as the background pic a la MK on the FS schedule on ABC. BTW, I was excited about that Newsweek caption too 'cause I figured MK and PK would be in there. What I wish Newsweek did was focus on MK's body of work and hope for the future instead of inserting other competitors in there. They didn't for the others, why do so for her. The "keep her near and dear for a while" also rubbed me the wrong way, as if she's on her way out in their eyes...okay that's a topic for another thread. Yeah, but MK and PK on the same article is a nice touch. Okay, Pk and MK with two other ladies mentioned in her write-up, what a dud. Sigh... Chemy, you are so right on 'cause I'm feeling "blah" right now if that makes sense. One of these days, the creativity will come back, hopefully. You've been posting wonderful pics...except the Tomato one so if you could alter it a bit... I'm glad there are so many talented people in this board, it's never boring. Keep 'em coming folks, I believe a hiatus from the fanfic writing is just what I need.

I read the Newsweek Article yesterday and was pleasantly surprised to find both #9 and 6.0 in there. I couldn't help but grin. Mano, I don't like how they wrote up Michelle either. They made it sound like Michelle will be "near or dear" only because she's a "gusty story". No, Newsweek. She's dear to a lot of people because of her skating and character. Yeah, many people do appreciate those things. Not sure who said it, but I also think Michelle can do better than that gymnast from Arizona, namely a hunky duck. :-) I'll be on vacation next week. No internet connection for a week! Hope you guys miss me! :-) Magenta, you need to keep the house in order! Where's wonder these days? Haven't seen her around for awhile. Paging wonder!

Nothing from me, sorry ffiction folks, sorry audience. Oh gosh, I wonder if Slavedriver, er I mean Yingshan will notice our low output. Shudder Blizzard, according to Heather's trancript, MK was winking, ribbing and bwahahaha-ing when she answered Phil Hersh (j/k). Mr. SummerOlympicHopeful(SOH) from Seattle is still a mystery. I'm guessing he's the Arizonian gymnast who MK mistakenly or coyly identified as a Seattle-ite... PentelHB, hello to you.
