how do you do a hockey stop?

I don't know if I can help but I'll try! This is the way I do them...

I'm skating and then I kinda abruptly push to the side...I think it's like a snow plow stop. Snow should come up! Good luck!

ok im not very good at this describing thing, but say youre doing the stop with your left leg. you have to keep the right one where it is and not let it slide, because that makes you lose control a little. also, if you stick out your left hip, that helps to push out your heel, which is how you stop. hope that was helpful! :) :) good luck!
