Hey everybody! Here's a new thread!

Well, i had a practice on friday night from 7p.m. to 12a.m. (remind me never to do that again):eek my feet hurt after that, but it was actually a really good practice. i landed every jump that i know how to do, except for the axel, which is still really inconsistant. but i was able to do my 2sal and 2toe.

i practiced again yesterday, but it wasn't quiet as great as friday's practice, in fact, it was just plain horrible>:
Here's how it started: i was dressed and ready to go, when my mom suggested that i wear my clean pair of black stretch skating pants (which used to be my moms and are probably older than i am) instead of my favorite gray ones. i told my mom that was ok, i would just wear my gray ones, but then she got mad and said that she wanted to wash my gray ones. So i ended up wearing the black ones which were uncomfortable and didn't fit very good. Then i get to the rink. my feet were still sore from skating so long on friday, so getting into my skates was a nightmare. i stepped onto the ice and stroked around then starting warming up with my jumps until i came to the loop. i usually have no problem landing this jump, but after trying it many times (and falling each time) i decided to rest and not even try any of my other jumps. i concluded that the pain in my feet was interfering too much with my practice, so i decided to stop for the day. Then, as i was watching a competition in the other rink (still dressed in my skating pants) a lady standing next to me told me that i had a tear in my pants 8o i looked down and found a huge split in the front of my pants that showed my underwear!!!:O :eek :\ How embarrassing! If only my mom had let me worn my other pants...oh well. I quickly changed into my jeans and headed home.

Hehehe. Sorry if this was kinda long, but it's kinda funny now that i look back on it:D but there will be better practice days, this was just a bad practice day.
Happy Skating Everyone! (here's hopin' your practices don't turn out like mine):o :)

OK, so today was the day of the overrotated axel. Lots of height, lots of rotation...no clean landing. I said...what the heck, let's go for the double. First try, I got two revolutions and landed flat going forwards. Second try, got 2 slow revolutions (maybe a little more), lots of height fell forwards. Last try, got two tight revolutions, not as much height, and had a complete splatfest that really did a number on my hipbone, knee cap, and elbow. OW.

You guys are probably thinking...he had it coming to him. Yeah, that's what my friends thought. They were watching.

So my first advice to myself...get a coach before you try this again. But if anyone has some insight...let me know.
