I've heard people talk about it but I can't find it in my skating books. Anyone know what it is?

I am not a skater, but here is my understanding of a falling leaf.
in the case of a R. handed skater:
It is take off with the R. back outside edge, like a loop jump, the skater then
makes a 180 degree turn or 1/2 revolution in the air then lands on a forward
edge. skaters usually do a split while turning in the air.
In MK's EOE, she has a GORGEOUS falling leaf, so is her One more time program.
If you have world pro 98 tape of EOE, Bezic was commentating and
gushing about MK's falling leaf. Mk did a complete split in the air timed
perfectly with music.

In OMT, same falling leaf, Uncle Dick was gushing about it.
Sometimes skaters do a couple of falling leaves before a jump to
accent the jump. NNNs 99 national lp, she did a couple of
falling leaves before her last triple toe. She did not do a complete
split in the air in that case.

In TRV , MK has a falling leaf in the middle of her footwork,
before the Besti Squat, and she did not do a full split.
Hope it helps, any skating expert out there care to correct me
please feel free.
