Do the World's results mean that Michelle keeps her last position in COI? ;)

Is Shizuka even on the roster? I would love to see her there.

I was wondering the same thing but they may put Sasha ahead of her since she won the silver.

:lol I think everyone was thinking that..not a shallow question.

I don't think she will. With what happened here, people are going to love her even more. She is the star of COI. She will remain in the star's position.

Also Michelle is the National champion. Sasha finished ahead of her at Worlds, but Sasha's still not World Champion.
This has done nothing to hurt Michelle's status.

I think Michelle would still be considered the headliner because she is a 5-time world champion, 8-time national champion, and 2-time olympic medalist. Current world silver medalist doesn't have the same ring to it, does it?

LOL you guys!!

COI knows why people want to see the show, and I don't think they would put Michelle anywhere but last.

Isn't the order completely up to Tom Collins? He loves Michelle and seems very fond of him. I'd love to see Shizuka again; she's great! But Michelle is the star!

Exactly. Kwan won a major title (nationals) this year. Sasha did not.

It doesn't matter though...I get to see Michelle skate again..possibly twice!!

I think Michelle should ALWAYS have that last sport, regardless of where she comes in each year --- she is after all the most decorated U.S. figure skater ever! That should mean something..!

I was wondering about this last night, if Sasha won the Gold, who would they put last? But I definitely think that MK will now be last. Sasha will probably be 3rd from last, then Plushy. I don't think they'll put MK & SC back to back.

I second that. Tom Collins knows who will bring in the money and with this whole fiasco, everyone will love MK even more. It's all turned out in her favor and she gets the last laugh as usual.

First the whole judging issue, then the crazy guy just before her skate. Yep MK will still be america's golden girl and will overshadow the new world champ and the world silver medalist.

I'm absolutely positive Michelle will skate last. She still put in the 2nd place performance and we all know she was screwed in the short. Sasha still hasn't won a big title. Well except the grand prix if you count that.

I think that Michelle is the new Brian Boitano for COI. Whenever Brian skated - he closed the show, period. If Michelle was the reigning world champ that year - she skated right before Brian and then he closed. It's an American show, I think Shizuka will be somewhere in the middle (I think that's what they did with Maria in 99) and that Sasha and then Michelle will be that last two. Michelle IS the reason why 70% of people go to COI

kwan better be the last to skate. I go to a 5 time world champion, 8 time national champion, 2 time olympic medalist, than reigning world silverist medal.

i'm pretty sure she'll still be last..i remember reading 2 years ago about yagudin's complaints that he was the olympic and world champion that year and even HE didn't go last, iguess, or that michelle got the # star billing!!!!!!!!!!!yes, michelle IS the star,...

I'm sure that Michelle will be last at COI now. If SC had won Worlds SC would be last, with Michelle to close the show in the group skate like they did with Sarah after SLC. We know they won't put Shizuka last even if she's invited to tour (Maria B skated in the first half the year she was World Champ and I expect Shizuka will get the same treatment). Since Michelle is the US Champ, they'll keep her last. They'll just say...Ladies and Gentlemen...the one and only Michelle Kwan!!!

I mean, they can't say, at last...Ladies & Gentlement, The US Nationals and World Silver medalist.

Besides, I think Tom Collins knows who sells the tickets.

I agree. I think Michelle's popularity is based on other things than the gold medals she's won. Even after SLC, she was still headlining other nights in COI - wasn't she??

Please, this isn't even an issue. Michelle is Champions on Ice, period. This worlds has done nothing but solidified her position even more.
