Spots for next year.

With 2005 worlds in Moscow, Russia won't get 3 spots for the ladies. The highest ranked lady was Sokolova 10th. I think they will eek through for the men because Plush = 1 and Griasev = 12 so that will give them the 13 they need for 3 men, right?

I was wondering the same thing about the Russian ladies. Does anyone know the answer..how many ladies can they send to the 2005 Worlds??

Hopefully just 1. But I don't think it really matters. Not enough cheating in the world would get one of their current top skaters on the podium.

I may be wrong but didn't Irina S. finish 9th? Russia can send 2 ladies because of top 10 finish.

Russia can only send one, because no one finished in the top three and the two spots didn't add up to 13...meaning Elena finished 10th and Irina finished 9th, so if you add those together, you get 19.

13 is the number for 3 spots, the number for 2 spots is 28, so Russia gets 2 Ladies next year.
