Do you have a good luck charm when you skate??

Do you ever wear a good luck charm when you skate like Michelle?

I don`t really but if I`m really nervous about my lesson I pray to god do get my nerves down.Maybe I should have something for good luck?

When I skated, my good luck charm was a 50-yen coin I wore on a dog-tag-type chain. Then, in '95, when I began my "Schindler's List" program, it was essential for me to wear my Star of David...it is extremely unique looking and a family heirloom (my Great Great (Great?) Uncle made it for my Grandmother, and she gave it to me). I don't know if it was a good luck charm, but since it was my signature piece, it really helped me dig into my soul to find the emotion I needed.

G MAN, you don't need one unless you have something that you feel really does give you luck, or confidence, or anything. If you find one, wear it! But don't be too worried that you don't...have more confidence in yourself, rather than a charm. ;)

I wear a gold necklace it has a good luck charm on it and I also have this sand dollar and another irradesent heart!

I have a little box full of good luck charms, but the only one I wear on the ice is a necklace my friend brought me back from china. It looks like a smushed green life saver on a red string. It's jade though and it's supposed to be good luck. The other thing is the **Lucky Hairspray** With my friends it's a huge thing. For the past 4 years we've used one spritz of herbal essence hair spray at every competition. But sometimes my friends aren't there and I don't have any of my own, so I have to do without:(

Anyway, I don't have a good luck charm I wear when I skate, but I do have certain rituals I go through. For example, because Michelle said on Jay Leno once that she always puts her left skate on first I've turned that into a good luck ritual. I do everything left skate first. Put it on, take it off, step onto the ice and step off of the ice. That way I'm always thinking of Michelle and asking her to help me have a good skate.

I used to wear my replica of Michelle's good luck charm that came in her skating game, but I was wearing so many necklaces that it got to be more of a hinderance than a good luck charm so now I don't wear it.

I always wear my "Lion King" baseball cap when I skate...The one time I forgot about 5 people asked where it was...

Also I have this strange rictual. When I step out on the ice, I click the end of my right blade into the instep of my left blade. As a consequence I have this cluster of pit marks on the inside of my left blade....
