Hi guys, I just wanted to get a sense of our geographic diversity...

I used to skate at various rinks in Northern Cali, including Belmont and San Jose Ice Centre (where Rudi trained). But my favorite was an outdoor ice rink called the "Winter Lodge".

Of course this has nothing to do with where I skate now...

Now I'm in Baltimore and I now skate at Northwest Ice Rink in Mount Washington.

At the Ice Chalet in Cupertino, CA. It's not that bad (it's just on the small side), and the fact that it's in the mall near our house doesn't hurt either...;)

I skate at the same ice rink that Rudy Galindo skates at, but unfortunately I live 1 hour and 30 minutes to 2 hours away from that ice rink and it's the closest one to where I live and I only skate once a week, so I don't get the opportunity to see Rudy skate in person. :( Maybe after I start college this fall, turn 18 years old this year, and get a 2002 neon green Volkswagon Beetle that I'll be able to skate more often.

I skate at Champions Skating Rink in Cromwell, CT
Veterans Memorial Rink in West Hartford, CT
International Skating Center of Connecticut in Simsbury, CT (Where Oksana used to be, and still Viktor and Katia).
And sometimes at the CT International Skating Center in Newington, CT where Alexi, Shea & Vic, etc skate.

I want to move back to Southern California, but there are just too many nice rinks around here. And not very many in Southern California - San Diego area. :(

I skate at three rinks throughout the week:

Mt. Vernon Rec Center -- Home of Derrick Delmore
Fairfax Ice Area -- Home of Michael Weiss
SkateNation, Dale City -- Home of Tatianna Malinnina

I did the Learn to Skate program at Dearborn (Mich.) Ice Skating Center.

Hi!

I skate mostly at the University of PA rink (in Philly, PA) and sometimes (mostly in summer) at Iceworks in Aston, PA where Elvis Stojko, and Debbie Keogel and Oleg Fediukov skate!! It's so cool seeing them in person!

It's so weird sometimes you just get really lucky out of no where! I was skating there once and Pasha Grishuk/Alexander Zhulin showed up!! Amazing! Just thought I'd share that with yo. :)

...hopefully a week from this Saturday, and since my old rink closed and went bankrupt :( , I guess I'll be skating at RDV Ice Den in Maitland FL and the Kissimee Ice Factory. I sure will miss my old rink though...:(

I skate all over the southern half of CT, but mostly in fairfield county. I just started skating some in Cromwell (hi deetlebug, do I know you?) but it's an hour and 5 minutes away. When there's a rinks 15 minutes away that just doesn't seem smart. I might be up there once a week or so. I did skate a session in Simsbury once, but it was two hours away (I actually drove up there twice, but the first time they had special olympics and all sesions were cancelled. I was ready to scream!) and I don't feel like spending 4 hours of my saturday in a car.
I also skate synchro in Northford, New haven Collesium, and Milford among other places. All of them are between a 35 and 45 min drive. It's so funny because until this winter the only rinks ever I skated in were 20 min away from my house at most!

I skate at Skatin' Texas in Ft. Worth. It is a nice size rink, but unfortunately, the minor league hockey team practices there - as well as high schools and clubs, so figure skating always takes a back seat to hockey. It drives the fs coaches nuts! The up side, is that it just added figure skating a year ago, so during freestyles, there is never more than 2 or 3 skaters - unless a Fri. night or Sat. morning. On many weekday mornings I am the only one there! That is really cool! They let me play whatever music I want!
