Predictions on Dick and Peggy's comments

They will be dismayed at MIchelle's qualy program - and horrified by her short program "technicality" They will praise and praise Sasha's short program and overall performance to that point - and of course ask "Is this the competition where she puts it all together?" They will be stunned by Arakawa's "lifetime" moment and dismayed once again by Sasha's mistakes - except a somewhat tacky comment from Dick on this - and then Michelle will bring down the house and Dick will yell "Good for her , Good for her" or something similar. Peggy will again be speechless at Michelle's grace and maturity and they will call her a "true champion" Overall they will be pleased with our two american champions.

I agree with everything you said. I am just interested to see if they will say anything about the 2 seconds. It could go either way: They will either call the judging a disgrace, or they will let it go and not even mention it. As for the LP...I wonder if they will show the streaker...I have a feeling they will cut off after Sasha skates and when they return, the streaker will have already had "Streaked" and they will just mention it, but not actually show him being chased by the security.

Im betting that ESPN will plant the seed with the whole MK judging thing so everyone will want to watch the finals on ABC, plus she's America's golden girl, and anything that happens to her makes headlines.

I think that there will be discussion of Arwakara's SP and her cheated rotations. In the past, I have noticed that when the SP has been taped they often insert analysis while waiting for marks. They did this last year at Worlds when analyzing flutzes. Uncle Dicky said something to the effect of Michelle Kwan, "there's no flutzing there I can tell you".

I also think that Uncle Dicky will be a bit harsh with Sasha's mistake. He seems to have lost patience with her inability to put a flawless LP on the ice. He'll probably say,"Aww, now this is why she has struggled to get to the podium, consistancy, and lack of focus She's brilliant one minute and then this I just don't know"

I just know one thing, when Michelle's 6.0s come up, you can bet Peggy will say, "So well deserved!". She always says that hehe!

Peggy will say she was so "not like Michelle" in the qualifying round and she has been doing it too long to go over time on her short.

They will praise how technically fabu Sasha's short is and forget to point out she does 2 triple flips in the short--no it's not a flutz it's a pure flip through and through. I don't know what the proper deduction for that is.

They will praise Shizuka which see deserves and talk about another missed opportunity for the emaciated Sasha.

In the end Dick will praise Michelle for the true champion, legend, and competitor she is. 9 World medals--Wow!

My guess is that Dick is pretty hot over the judging of Michelle's short program. He has been highly critical of the judging in the past, so if the "real life" programs looked anything like the internet broadcasts yesterday, I think he is going to have a few choice words for the judges. As for Peggy, she really never says anything of interest. She'll pick Sasha for the long program...and once again...she'll be wrong.
