:rollin I love this quote: when talking about how the streaker jumped on the ice, she says:
"I thought they were penalizing me for the two seconds over in the short program," she joked in the press conference, referring to the deduction she received in the short program."
hehehehehehhe:rollin

"Moreover, the six 6.0s gave her 50 for her career in major competition — the most by any skater. It's only fitting that the "Queen of 6.0" might also be the last skater ever to receive the perfect mark."
Absolutely!!!
Love it!

"I first thought it was a flower girl," Kwan said. "Then I knew he was a streaker as he was taking off his clothes. I thought he might have a gun."
Kwan said she thought about the gun after remembering there were no metal detectors for people entering the arena. After Kwan left the ice, she was given the option of having the ice resurfaced before she skated. She said she was more worried about what debris might have been left on the ice."
Thank God is wasn't a gun or anything!
:lol at Michelle worrying more about the debris he may have left on the ice more than anything!

Did I read this correctly? First gold for Japan?
Yuka and Midori may have something to say about that...

Well at least she has a sense of humor about herself. You gotta love that. :)

Oh, I feel so bad that she thought for a moment he might have a gun, how terrifying for her!! I think it was a good choice for her to go ahead and skate instead of waiting for the ice to resurface. That probably would have given her even more time to be nervous. I admire her even more than I ever thought I could!!!

Of course it had the obligatory error-this is Japan's 1st World gold. Hello, ever hear of Midori Ito & Yuka Sato? Shameful that such an error is on a USFSA article.

I was wondering about that error, too. They forgot Midori the first one.
