No joke, her jumps were huge, her speed was amazing, her attack was evident. I think it was her best 3Z/2T she has EVER done, and her double axel was perfect. The landing on her 3F had such a deep and outflowing edge.

Sorry to say folks, the judges are trying to tell her something. She does NOT deserve these marks, even without the 0.1 deduction...

Figure Skating just lost a lot of credibillity today

Im extremely confused. I don't know whether its still a good idea for Michelle to put in a 3/3 in her short program which is very risky. At the same time I think this is what they are asking for! I also wonder if it will be enough to just come up with a beautifully well-crafted and intricate short without a 3/3. Supposedly without the 3/3, she still came in second which is still very good standing for her.

Just watched it again, more comments:

Her combination spins at the end was so refreshing and new. It was great to see, and I thought it was EXTREMELY interesting and executed to perfection.

The Kiss and Cry part was a little awkward, probably because I have never seen Michelle so pissed in my life.

She did stop a cpl seconds after the music ended, AND the end of her music was different than it was at nationals.

I will also add, that based on what I saw from her 3Z/2T combo, it could have EASILY been a 3Z/3T combo, that's how much outflow and speed she had during the jump.

It's hard to tell on the Eurosport video, but to me it seemed like she had a problem with the layback spin, but they zoomed in too close, so it's hard to tell

I don't think the judges are gung ho for the 3/3. Look at the marks they gave Sasha, and she didn't do one

Michelle doing any kind of 3/3 mean she can do it.And what is the judges want from her for scoring her low.?

ok so i know the SP is over but i just watched it online (haven't been around since yesterday to check up on mk's standings... i thought that was one of the coolest versions of TFB ive EVER seen. i was like WOA. she added a few MORE things to it and put on a fire and determination that tops last yr's world's version. PLUS that FINAL spin, where she moved her arms was one of the coolest more innovative things ive seen from her in a WHILE. i canNOT believe that she was marked do SOOo severely. ok so 0.1 deduction, but to ge like 5.1 and 5.4s, now THAT is unwarranted. i hope this doesn't cont. if mk keeps skating cuz its preposterous. BUT i WILL say that i think if she skates next yr we'll see a LOT of innovative things, im soooo excited. i hope mk continues!!

What I'm hoping is we'll get a good shot of her feet on her spins, because I've heard from people she traveled on a spin. I've seen the SP but the angle's didn't give show enough so i could see well enough to be sure. The one they did show her feet on was dead on though.

I didn't see her travel on any spins. if she did it was VERY little. Can I just say that in that program, she WAS the music. She was so on, that she was directing the music as it played. God I love that program. Not only the best TFB, but the best short program since RACH @ nationals in 98.

I just saw the program.
I downloaded it from a link someone posted earlier.
It is just 6 MB, so it wouldn't take long to download.
I don't have DSL or cable, so it took me about 23 minutes to download, but it was worth it.

It was the best performance of TFB that I've ever seen.
She was just amazing and it shows that she could have and probably will in the future, to tack on 3 toe at the end of that Lutz.

EOE in Boston and in Worlds was so lyrical, but this is reminiscent to Rach in '98 -- but WITH MORE FIRE and Determination.
Loved the facial expression.

She is mad, people.
I won't be surprised if this degradation will only fuel her and we will see a completely different Michelle next year.
She is gunning for the Oly medal, people.
I saw the fire in her eyes.

** I can't believe I'm talking like this - I'm a guy for pete's sake.

:CK @ss, Michelle.

haha, ur right, the FIRE. it was SOOOO incredibly detemined. i was like HOLY COW. this worlds championships was just out of control. i can understand the QR, even though i never watched it, but with the mistakes and all.... but this SP was AMAZING, 10x better than last yr's worlds, and we're talking now about something that was once perfect is like just COMPLETELY flawless. i was quite impressed and can't wait to see the LP televised and mk getting her slew of 6.0's!!!! when i first found out about all this judging frenzy and mk being in 3rd overall, i was like wut. but u know what, this will only fuel her to skate even better, if thats even possible ;) . i hope to go she goes to turino cuz if she skates with as much passion as she did in the SP at worlds, there may be no stopping her :D

Where is the link to the sp? I found one but it was not online and the lp didn't work.

To me, her layback spin in TFB looked like it had something messed up with it, but the angle was so close up on her upper part, it was hard to tell.

Yes it was the best TFB she skated but I prefer the music edit she used at nationals.
