Do you think her difficulties with the Lutz this year are a result of her work with Rafael? I don't mean that in a bad way. I just mean that she has said that he is changining her technique, and I can't help but wonder if that's what has thrown off her lutz this season.

Her lutzes have been higher since she got with him, so I am sure the improvements will only help her in the long run.

Rafael has been tweaking her lutz and while it has made it a little inconsistent for the time being, it'll most definitely benefit her in the long run!

I don't disagree that it will help her in the long run, I was just wondering if that could be the reason she's been missing them.

well ummm i think the lutzes here at worlds, just seemed like at this time she made have had some issues with taht jump. happens to everyone. her lutz in the SP was WOW. and all her jumps at nats were like WOA ;) . hehe. im so descriptive. i think rafael all in all has been good for mk. and i think their relationship will be great longterm cuz he seems to know what he's doing.... mk has looked great since working with him and you really see a new fire

I don't think it's a technical issue that much. I don't think she was really trying to have a deeper outside edge. She's taking off on the flat as she usually has. It could be a symptom of something general, but i don't think she has been seriously changing technique, but we could always ask the pros.
