Michelle Kwan question..please read and answer

Since the 2006 Winter Olympics is less than a year away, I was wondering if anyone knows whether or not Michelle will participate?

... well. I would say yes, considering she has commited herself to the training for this coming season. Of course, the USFSA or ISU could decide not to let her go.... which would be stupid.

I believe that by USFSA rules she still has to qualify for the US team by placing in the top 3 at Nationals.

(I'm assuming that the US ladies did well enough at Worlds to secure 3 Olyimpic berths)

actually, only the National champion is garaunteed a spot on the team, implying that other spots (should they be available) can be appointed. MK and Sasha are going for sure. The USFSA would be MAD not to send them.

does anyone know for sure if michelle kwan will be going for a third trip to the winter games in 2006?

Well, technically no one knows for sure. She has said she plans to go and of course we count on her being in the top three or being appointed to the U.S. team, but anything can happen and to really know for sure if she is going, one would have to wait until they actually see her at the games in Torino.
