One More Time - 1 more time

I just rewatched this program from 99 Hershey's. Wow.

I think that she's said before that she admired Oksana, but I never saw it in her skating. Until this program. It reminded me of all the best parts of Oksana.

What was Dick talking about though? I though when skaters "threw away" moves , it was meant pajoratively. But here he says it almost like it's a compliment. Huh?

I loved the costume. Jef perhaps?

I'm glad that I decided to give One More Time, 1 more time because I had dismissed it at the time as yet another ggb, but it's lovlely.

BG--I love One More Time. The ending--the Charlotte, then finishing with the split on the ice....Like Buttah!

I took what Dick said to be a compliment. He said of Michelle at another time her technique was so good, that she could just forget about the technique and just "do it" and to the viewer, it looks easy, just like she's throwing it in for the heck of it. She does it as if it is no big deal. The other way I interpret it is that she didn't telegraph anything, i.e., the jumps just happen all of a sudden, ergo, "thrown in", "thrown away". It all appeared to come naturally and you didn't see it coming.

That's my story, and I'm sticking to it.

BG and Ginny Smith, ITA..Beautiful...I think that the comment had to do with the seemless nature of MK's skating..So many skaters...have a look at me, overexaggerated, yes, telelgraphed style...that at times their skating seems almost unnatural...With MK all moves are so well integrated...she makes it look so "easy" so "unforced"...

I never heard that song before watching MK skate to it on my best of MK tape. What a beautiful song! Michelle made it her own.

at the end of this program is a move that plays over and over again in the video in my mind, spectacular and resounding. Along with the elligant backward spiral she has done more recently, are both at the top of my all time favorite ice glides.

Thanks. I just downloaded and watched it. It was so beautyfully skated. Love Dick's comments that she took no simple jump and elements to make it looks simple.

One More Time is my favorite program, ever! I've always wondered why Michelle didn't use it more. The costume is fabulous as well. And Michelle seems so "into" the music that when she raises her head and sees the audiance she looks surprised, as if she's coming out of a trance or a wonderful dream! Ahhhh, I need to go watch it again....

I just rewatched One More time, one more time to refresh my memory. It's even more wonderful than I remembered. There are so many brilliant details and nuances in Michelle's performance of this piece. She dances and moves and gets inside the music throughout the entire work. This is an amazing, memorable skate. The costume is to die for..

"One More Time" is in the top three of my favorite exhibition programs from Michelle, along with "On My Own" and "Winter."

Wow, I downloaded this from Cruella's site and I had forgotten how beautiful this program was. I watched it this morning and thought it was great. So fluid and graceful. Even the difficult moves flowed together seamlessly with the other moves. Loved it :) Her costume was beautiful as well.

i'm downloading as i type. OMO is one of the few programs i don't have recorded of Michelle's & i had never seen it until last year i believe. it's everything everyone else already mentioned. & i too can see the Oksana similarity.

my only wish is that MK's LPs had more of this type of skating, like they used to~
