I just talked to a friend and she told me Michelle is too old to be capable of doing a triple/triple. I was ticked, but let it go.
Knowledgeable skaters out there, is it harder to do triple/triples as you get older? How old is Awakara (I hope that is how you spell her name.)

She is NOT too old , physically she skates like a 17 year old, gimme a break!! She just never really needed the 3/3 she STILL doesn't need the 3/3 obviously... she would have won the gold without the time deduction against Arakawa (even with two 3/3's) had the skaters been placed appropriately in the SP .
She will have the 3/3 and obviously they are within her reach. Otherwise she wouldn't be bothering telling the press about competing in Turino.

honestly I feel Michelle just hasn't dedicated herself to them as much as she may need to get more difficult ones consistent...we've all seen what a beauty the 3 toe - 3 toe can be and I think with more work a more difficult one can look just as good.

Good for her. THe more >20 year olds do 3/3, the less we have to hear these stupid ageism comments.

Also Jen Robinson learned 3/3's very late in her career. If she can learn them, then Michelle can too. Not to mention Michelle is way more consistent on everything.
