Yes, you read that right. This is for her present in 2001. Why post it? Well, it will take well over a year to make it. What is it? Well, many school aged children are asked to write reports and essays on their role models, favorite atheletes and those who they admire. I am also sure that a few people have chosen Michelle Kwan :) as their topic. In addition to the books about Michelle I believe that a website totally dedicated to her through biographical data, program resources (e.g. pictures, audio/video clips), pictures and commentary will be something from all of us, the fans, to Michelle and all the children around the world who are writing about their role model. Sure, it sounds JUST like another website, which it is. BUT, unlike most websites, it will created with the help of the ENTIRE Michelle Kwan Fan Community (MKFC - NOT Michelle's Kentucky Fried Chicken). I've gathered a few books and scribbled down a basic layout of everything. All I need to get this going is some support and volunteers who I'll communicate with a lot throughout the whole process. The details are still being worked out (in my head :) ) but I believe that everyone can and should contribute - so it will be awesome :)
Don't think you can be of help? Sure you can! Why, there isn't an age group thats useless for this! Also, if you have or know children in elementary school, please, if you see them bring home an assignment of a report or something please make a copy of it and we can get some ideas for content :)
Under 16: Chances are you've either written a report on you favorite athlete or role model, or may want to. The type of info you wanted to find out on that person will help us get the info people will need when they want to write about Michelle!
17-no limit: I'm sure you've already passed that report stage in life but I'm looking for ideas on design and layout. Keep in mind this will last for years and years. Also, we'll need people to edit and proof-read our stuff to make sure its grammatically and factually correct. My dream is to one day hear Dick Button and Peggy Flemming to say "Well, if you want to know exactly how many gold medals Michelle has won just visit one of her fans sites, which I might add has become very informative, by going to..." Sure, I know she'd never say that but I can dream, right?
Well, gotta go now. I'll finish later. Work calls. MOOO!!!!
