Donation Update

Okay guys - everybody better sit down for this one. I just returned from the bank and I'm holding a deposit for...............{drum roll please}






Six Thousand, eight hundred and thirty five dollars!!!!!!!! Add that to our Paypal amount of $402 and $10 cash and we have SEVEN THOUSAND, TWO HUNDRED and FORTY SEVEN dollars!!!!!

I have to say - MK Fans are the most loyal, generous (and trusting) fans in the world. I am enjoying going to my little p.o. box and finding so many envelopes. Thank you to those that have enclosed MK graphics and other little items - how creative you all are!!!

I will update my pdf file on yahoo as soon as I get a chance, so you can all make sure your checks and other donations have been accounted for and everyone can check out all the people (and some super large donations) that are enabling us to reach our goal. I'll post as soon as I do it.

Jamie - No end date yet. I guess it will depend on how long the medal takes to make and when they need payment. All the leftover money will go to charity so either way - you're helping out!

WOW!!!! I can't believe it! I was worried we wouldn't get enough! This is fantastic. We should be able to get the medal of all medals made, and with the leftover, donate that to charity in her name. OK, I went a little over the top there, but oh my gosh!!!!!!! Talk about generosity -- you guys are AMAZING!!! And not all of the donations are in yet, either (including mine :\ )!!!! WOW!!!! I can't even imagine what the final amount will be -- now we can make a HUGE donation in Michelle's name, which I'm sure will touch her deeply, too. I am SO EXCITED about the outcome of this project!!! You guys are awesome!!!

Oh my GOODNESS!!! That is absolutely amzing! Okay, no it's not, because we're talking about Michelle fans here, :) but jeepers, that's a LOT of money. Oh I'm so excited! There is no deadline for sending in contributions -- I think it probably won't be until a time much closer to the actual presentation, because we already have more than enough $$ to cover the cost of the medal, so anything above what is necessary for that will go to whatever charity(ies) we choose. Hope this helps some of you out.

P.S. to Anna: Thanks again for taking on this part of the project -- I look forward to seeing your latest update of the donations! (I hope you have received my check, because I sent it about 10 days ago.) I am really overwhelmed by the response so far -- but not really surprised by the total. I knew that MK fans would be generous :) -- I just didn't realize that they would be so prompt! :lol

Everyone who hasn't sent in their checks but intends to, keep them coming! Remember, every cent counts to show Michelle we care. Also, Anna, just some suggestions, besides paying for the medal, you might need to keep some money available for: (1) cost of a safe deposit box to keep the medal until the presentation; (2) arrangement for the medal to be sent to the presenter or place where the medal will be presented; (3) Do we need any mail or delivery insurance? I don't know. I'm just thinking that there are going to be some side costs to be factored in, so we need to pay those before making donations to charity.

Thanks all for answering questions from posters still wanting to donate. I will update the pdf file as soon as I can, but it will probably be Monday before you see a change. It takes a long time to fill out the deposit slips, I usually do it on the weekends, but it takes even more time to fill out the names and amounts on the pdf file. I will get to it though, because I know many of you want to be sure I received the check (or m.o. or paypal or cash).

I list donors by list name if provided. If not, I list first name and last initial. Only a few posters have asked tonot be mentioned.
