Some have suggested a crystal center to the medal surrounded by our metal of choice. My one objection to that is that created crystal like in the Alberville olympic medals is breakable. I want something for Michelle that if it gets dropped is not ruined. I have been trying to find sites with carved quartz crystal so we can see if that is a viable alternative. Here is one site with some fairly detailed carved quartz figures in the lower half of the page:
quartz.crystals2.com/ (http://quartz.crystals2.com/)
Does anyone know about carving of gems like this that could add more info on whether this could work for Michelle's gift or not?

I don't know if it would be possible, but a medal along with a crystal figurine of Michelle doing a spiral. The company Lenox made a China figurine of Ekaterina Gordeeva. Love those sites Shallah!

of Michelle to Michelle herself... It would be cool if some company decided to make and sell figurines on their own though.

Did you ever see the bronze statues of Kristi Yamaguchi, Paul Wylie and Nicole Bobek? I can't find the site just now but there are some artists that do bronze statues of skaters and they are gorgeous! They look worthy of being in a museum. I wonder if someone ever had one made of Michelle if they could donate it to the World Figure Skating Museum....

I wonder what they could do with Michelle. Is there any way to capture a split falling leaf in a bronze statue?
