It looks as if the PM system sends a verification request to someone who is added as a friend. So I think you have to reply to that before the PM will work.

That part isn't humorous but the next thing is.

I tried adding myself as a friend to test this. When I attempted it, I got the following message back:ginnysmith ....you can't add yourself to your own buddy list, but take heart you only need a little self-love! PML! :lol :rollin :lol

P.S. I also now have a temp email set up that you can access via my profile.
