View Full Version : I'm putting this here because someone is too chicken

to have their PM enabled after sending me a PM that reeks of stupidity.
You know who you are and I won't print your name here. But by the time I'm done, posters will know.
NEVER, and I mean, NEVER use my daughter as a threat against me. I promise you that you will rue the day you did that! My daughter was willing to share her experiences with all of you here at MKF. She loves this board and MOST of the posters. But once she read that I (along with other people) were called "scumbags" by one poster, she has made it plain that she doesn't want to post here during the off-season.
She may have an injury to the brain, but she isn't stupid. She knows when someone is being a b**** against her mother. To ask me how my daughter would feel if she knew her mother was a member of a bash board and that her mother was bashing and trashing people on that board was ludicrous and WAY out of line. And how the hell do you know I do that? You have a spy over there or something?
For those of you who have always been nice, thank you. For those of you who have decided that some of us are "scumbags", I'd flip you off but there's not an emoticon on this board to do that.
Suffice it to say, if you can't stand on your own two feet without blackmailing me, then back the f*** off.>:
I apologize to the rest of you for stepping on your toes like this, but this was rude, insensitive and downright snide. And I will NOT tolerate this from anyone.
***edited to add: I had NO intention of putting this out here on this board, but since I could not reach THIS poster any other way, I was left with no choice.

Just remember, Realistic, people that use that "what would XYZ think if they knew where you'd posted" line are resorting to 4th grade peer pressure techniques. They may disguise themselves as adults, but they really just can't get past the fact that you have a mind of your own.

Very very sad situation. :(
Realistic, Please realize most people here a very grateful and appreciative with all you and your daughter have shared with the forum.
It is inexcusable that someone would taunt you with threats relating to your child.
And if that wasn't disgusting enough, to quickly turn of her PM's after the fact is nothing short of trollish.
Please don't let this upset you this much, just realize this other poster must have other problems to do such a thing. :)

Some people can just be so uncouth. Maybe they should be booted out like the trashy garbage they say they despise.
I am sorry Realistic...You and Lexi have given me many smiles, and new appreciation for MAW and MK.
Would you feel better if we sang you a song...
Here, to the tune of The Banana Splits

Realistic,
I don't condone blackmail using children, but I think you're putting this here at MKF for other reasons. Obviously, this person must read PITI in order to make such conclusions regarding people posting at both PITI and MKF. Why didn't you post this at PITI instead of here. If you know this person reads PITI, then you know your target audience will be reached. PITI is more "Tuned" towards airing out dirty laundry. MKF isn't the right forum to "board drag" or whatever you want to call this issue.
I think you posted it here just to let the MKFers know somebody is PMing you and not allowing you to reply. Big Deal!!!! None of us here at MKF care a squat if somebody doesn't have their PM on or not. Nobody really cares if you have your PM on and this other person doesn't.
Again, i'm sorry you and your child were subjected to this kind of behavior, but you both use the internet by your own free will and you're subject to this kind of behavior because you engaged in something on your own free will.

Dave...your dead horse needs to go the the slaughter house. Please, and kindly remove it from the roadway so as not to cause an accident.
It is getting bloated laying there in the hot sun.

I cannot believe that "someone" would involve a very special young lady like your daughter in her anger, especially after Heather reminds us that there is to be no board dragging over here and the rest of us are cooperating and consider the matter closed. Its especially insulting considering how you went out of your way to share your daughter's wonderful experience with MK with the members here.
I consider what was said to be pathetic at best and a thinly veiled threat at worst. Perhaps a report to EZBoard administration/authorities is in order, here. You may also want to PM Heather about this.

Dave, as far as I can tell, please correct me if I'm wrong, you're the only one bringing up specific names of boards here. And, no, the person annoying Realistic does NOT read/post on my board. She doesn't possess the balls to do so. She's a member here, to reply to her here is appropriate IMO.

Realistic,
I'm truly sorry and disgusted that someone would resort to a sleazy tactic such as the one you mentioned. Some people just don't know when to quit, especially when they've already been warned by the Admin.
I do find it interesting, however, that this person has apparently no problem railing on Realistic for associating with 'scumbags', yet this same person doesn't seem to have a problem with one of her buds posting a snark elsewhere along with the same set of 'scumbags.'
....Then again, I guess none of us should expect different from a graduate of the YS School of Hypocrisy. Looks like she graduated "suma cum laude", as well.
Dave, are you always such an 'ethical' boob?

I agree with Mr. Sato. There is no need to call him names especially when he is actually right this time. I am sorry you were treated so badly Realistic. Maybe you should reconsider sharing so much of your life with strangers on the internet, people can be very cruel when they are not looking someone in the eye.
Now could you please let the MKF be the MKF? If I wanted to watch Springer I would turn on the TV. I come here once a week and every time there is a new fight between the same group of people. Its getting old.

It is getting old. Too bad the MKFers can't just let it go and stop harrassing posters on other boards, eh?

realistic,
If the poster in question posts here and not on the other board, why not take this up directly with Heather? Several of us are trying to calm down the adversity, and this gets people upset again.

To motherlode, notmyproblem2003, davesato, and LaTasha:
I hope this never happens to any of you. I hope you don't run into the utterly rude rhetoric that I have suddenly become a target for. I hope you don't have a child that gets injured only to have fools throw it back in your face. I hope the person who sends you a "veiled threat" in your PM has the courage to leave their PM on so you can respond without taking it public.
And then I say to you: WHATEVER!
I did the only thing I could do to respond to this rude and obnoxious person. If you don't like it, don't read the damn thing!

From all I've read, your daughter has every reason to be proud of you and you of her. There are always going to people, who get their thrills by taking cheap shots. They only lower themselves. (((HUGS)))

Realistic, private messages are supposed to be kept *private*. In any event, I did not issue any threats. If you misinterpreted my PM as a threat, then I sincerely apologize. My PM was 100% innocuous.
P.S. - I would have responded to you directly in that "Dear LaTasha" thread that you posted, but it was locked, and that's why I sent you a PM.
WAHHH
July 30th, 2003, 09:48 AM
yes...they are supposed to be private, but how was she supposed to answer you when YOUR PM is disabled?
It seems unfair for someone to PM someone when they can't even respond

Realistic, private messages are supposed to be kept *private*.
Latasha, sending an insulting a PM to Realistic, and then turned off your PMs in a troll-like manner is quite rude. I hardly think you should be preaching proper PM etiquette.
