Heather, I really don't like to "tattle" on people, but do you think someone who calls Michelle "snotty and stupid" should be allowed to post here? And I am sinking down to her slimy level because she is pissing me off. It is skatepixie in the MK and Worlds thread. If she does not leave, I am going to pixie her skates!!:b

some of u guys think MK should have won in salt Lake. Some of you think she should have won back in 98.
The fall on the spin was due to the worst ice ive ever seen on TV. My local rink has better ice than that. It would seem to me that they would try a little harder for the WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS, but i guess not.
Sasha may have a few consistancy problems, but its because she is trying harder things than other skaters. (yes, I know some of the girls and japan have attemped 3/3/3 combos, but they were very cheated.) Even her footwork is worlds above her competitiors. MK tried using the same person, she still looked slow and silly.
As for why sasha has never beaten MK, its due to stupdity and favoritism in judging. they love MK because she was the cute little 14 year old who covered their backsides after tonya hit nancy. She wasnt like brass knuckles. She seemed so sweet. Even now, when she looks snotty and stupid, the judges still reward her for that.

and this in only 1 example. there are many more.

then just ban her IP address. and if she decides to use a public computer, it just shows how much she "loves" Michelle that she could NEVER leave this forum!!!

i don't understand. i don't really know what an IP address is, but how does that make it so she can't ever come back again? i wanna learn. lol

Chad,
Each computer, when connected to the internet has a specific IP address assigned to it. Hm.. it's kind of like... a home address. You only have one, and there can only be one of that address in the world. Same with an IP address.
(There are those that are dynamic, but I don't want to confuse you.) So instead of banning the person by their username, banning them by their IP address would mean they wouldn't be able to access the forum using that forum with THAT connection. If they say, wanted to cause trouble by using another computer with a different IP address, they could.
Hope that helped!

It's not very common any more to have a fixed IP. If Heather bans IP's she runs the risk of accidentally banning innocent people that use the same ISP, that's why ezboard does not really recommend banning IP addresses unless the admin is certain that it is fixed and non-changing.

a friend told me (remember - i am computer challenged :) ) that if you have a dial up net work, you will have a different IP each time, but if you are on one such as LAN or whatever, then it will be the same. Is that correct, or do i even come close to explaining what i am saying. For instance, i have my service through cable and do not plug into a phone jack, my friends is through the phone, and she has to wait for that attrocious noise and dial up, yet she says hers registers differently than mine. (not that she is the type to cause trouble, the subject came up because a poster on a ezboard was banned - unfairly she thought, for a comment she made and the moderator didn't agree - anyway, my friend mentioned that while her ezboard name could be banned, she could come back under a different name because the IP changed each time.
I know this is probably easy for some of u, but when i was younger, there were no such things as pc's, and if you mastered how to tape a song from the radio onto your 8 track tape, you were technologically gifted. :rollin
