Just to let everyone know that I am still making copies of "The Best Of Michelle Kwan" volumes I & II.
Volume II will have the best of this season including her Olympics & World Championships.

Volume I begins with her 1992 Jr. Nationals and ends with her performance at the Hershey's Kisses where she skated to "One More Time."

Volume II begins where volume I left off and continues through this year's Hershey's Kisses Figure Skating Challenge.

Both tapes consist of at least one of her short, long and exhibitions from each year that she has been competing. They are also loaded with interviews, profiles and bios.

My MIL doesn't have a VCR and can't stay awake late enough to catch the end of the West Coast broadcasts, so the last time she visited I put in Cherie's tapes and we had a Michellefest. Mari19, if you're asking about Michelle's Scherherazade, I haven't decided yet what I'm going to do about that. I normally pick her best performances from each program for my tapes, but because of the change in dresses I just may go with them both. If you'd like both performances I can certainly add them for you. I'm extremely flexible, and have always tried to please the customer.

I think I may have all of her Champions on Ice performances. Would you like me to put a tape together for you?

Well, first I'm going to have to do some research to find out who you are. Your username doesn't look familiar.

I know some of you have been waiting for quite some time for your tapes, but trust me, I'm doing the best I can. I have 2 sets of 2 VCR's recording almost constantly. One set for volume I and the other for volume II. Both tapes are 6 hours long and my Master Tapes are in SP so that means that every 2 hours I'm switching tapes. I have a full time job which has me away from home for 9-10 hours everyday except the weekends. I've only been able to make 2-4 tapes a day, which is why it's been taking so long to get everyone's tapes to them in a reasonable time. I stay up most nights until after midnight just to get that last tape going. I'm up again at 5:00 am. and start a new tape.
I've been making copies of "The Best Of Michelle Kwan" for over 3 years now. In that entire time there has never been a time when I didn't have orders coming in. But since Nationals and especially the Olympics, the orders have been pouring in so fast that I can't keep up with them. I've had a stack of orders on my desk for the past 3 months. It's not the same stack, it changes all the time, but as quick as I fill 1 order, 3 more are coming in.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining, not in the least. I can't tell you how much I've enjoyed making these tapes and sharing them with all of Michelle's fans. It's been my pleasure. I just wanted to help you understand why this process has been so slow. I do apoplogize whole heartedly. All orders will be filled. It just might take longer then we all hoped. And I hope you find when you receive the tapes that they were worth the wait. I thank you all for your patience, and promise to get your orders out as soon as possible.

I never said that it included every performance she ever did or all of her Nationals, Worlds, etc.

I wish I could give you an answer, but I don't know who you are. I do have an order that I haven't been able to fill, because the person didn't tell me what they wanted and I have no e-mail address to reply to.
I'm not sure if it's you or not, but if you send me an e-mail it would help a great deal.

When people reply on the forum most don't use their real names, so it's nearly impossible to match them with their payments if I don't have an e-mail address or the name they use on the forum. The names on the return address never match the forum names. So I hope you can understand how difficult it can be for me.
Most people when sending their orders are very considerate and give me all the information I need, and I appreciate this very much. It makes my job a whole lot easier and allows me to send the tapes out quickier.

I try my best to please everyone, but it helps to have information to work with.

I'd love to get the Best of MK volumes 1 and 2 myself. I am also thinking of getting a set for my cousin who is in Taiwan right now. Problem is I don't know what format they use over there; her vcr might not be able to decode the us. format. Does anyone in HK or Taiwan know if the tapes would work there?

The best would be if someone can convert both volumes into CD so I can sent them as a vcd format!

Hmmm, Japan uses the NTSC format just as the US does, so that should stay they same. Even if you used VCD, it all depends on how it the VCD is recorded, either in Pal or NTSC. Hmmmm. I believe Tawain is NTSC as well, so it should be okay. I'll post again when I find out.

When I just read your post, I have to say that I was a little confused. Maybe it's because it's early and I'm not quite awake yet. I saw Adrian Chew's name at the bottom and thought for a split second that that's who you were.

I knew who TV was, but I didn't think that TV was Adrian. :o
I checked through all of the orders that have come in and didn't see his name. Then I looked at your post again and realized what I was looking at. By do I feel silly.

I have received your payment but because your order is for a special request tape, I haven't had a chance to work on it yet. I've been on the go quite a bit lately, so I haven't had the time to sit and do any kind of editing. But I'm home from work today because my son is sick, so I'm going to try and work on now. It shouldn't take too long so hopefully I can mail it tomorrow.

When she finally does stop competing wouldn't it be nice to have a collection to pop in and just enjoy straight MK skating?

I wondered if you might want to give it some thought. I know you'd have a market for it.
