Cutouts

How do you do cutouts? I have tried, too, and haven't had much luck.

What program do you use?

I use PSP 7. I have tried doing those so many times, but I get shadow and when I paste the picture into the background, I get Michelle surrounded by white and shadow.

the tutorial has feather on 0, but sometimes it helps to put it on 1. Try both and see which works better for you.
